Tube layout

The Marquee projector series uses the same magnetics setup as any other EM focusing CRT projector. The deflection yoke is butted right up against the bell of the tube, the convergence yoke is right behind the main deflection yoke. The focus yoke is behind the convergence yoke, followed by the astig magnets.

Where Electrohome does slightly differ from other manufacturers is that they hot glue the deflection yoke into place on the bell of the tube. With a good sharp twist however (once the Allen screw is loosened on the yoke clamp), the bond of this glue will break. Use standard wood hot glue to reseal the yoke to a replacement tube.

Once in a blue moon a yoke can get damaged if a lot of glue was used to bond the yokes to the tube. The glue can grab a wire winding and shear it off. Email me if you need a new yoke if you’re doing your own tube replacement, I have lots of spares.

Raster centering is achieved by loosening the three brass wing-nuts on the focus yoke and shifting the large part of the focus yoke to move the raster. A small shift in the focus yoke will cause a large shift in raster centering. Tighten the brass wing-nuts again to lock the raster position in place.
