Internal boards:

As stated at the beginning, there are no adjustments on these boards that need tweaking by the end user.


Convergence board:

If your test grid or image jumps around at random, especially if only one color jumps around, chances are this board is bad.


Focus/vertical board:

This is the focus/vertical board. If you lose control of your focus, or you get a V error on the back of this set, suspect this board.

AC input board:

This is the AC input board with surge suppression filters on it. That’s typical for many CRT projectors, external surge suppressor power bars are not required.


The Sony G70 has three main power supply boards in it as compared to one master power supply for most sets. None of these have serviceable parts or adjustments on them.
