Once the screws around the deflection board frame are removed, the deflection board assembly hinges up to expose the CRTs. The layout of the Sony 12XX is more or less the same as any other CRT set.

Loosening and lifting up the shield over the CRT socket shows the CRT socket and the astig magnet assembly. The active components that drive the CRT socket are located on the CA boards, the CRT socket itself contains few parts.
