Here was an MP3 speaker that looked interesting, but as soon as I took this picture I was told not to take pictures of their items, so I quickly lost interest and walked. So sorry, I didn’t catch the brand name…

Garmin was at the show as were many other GPS manufacturers. I got a Garmin 5i for Christmas this year, and I use it daily even though I’ve lived in Vancouver for 43 years and know the streets quite well. The GPS is one of those items that you think you’ll use rarely, but I use mine all the time. GPSs can now be found connected to cellphones, and of course if you’re a long distance biker, you need one for your 18 speed as shown here:

A company that I didn’t see display last year was Bad Dog Tools. They carry all sorts of installation tools for the home theater installer...

Kodak and other companies were showing picture frames that you could load your digital pictures into. The electronics in the frame would then scroll through your pictures. Some would accept your memory card, others did it wirelessly. The below image shows one image scrolling into the current one being displayed.

Digital cameras are of course smaller than ever with more megapixels than before. Credit card sized cameras that (almost ) fit into your wallet were shown by all major manufacturers. They made my 3 year old Canon A70 look massive and ancient..

Even though this is for your car, it’s more of a gadget to me. Parrot has been making car stereo equipment for years, but now they interface with your Bluetooth cellphone. They carry car stereos that will automatically mute when your cellphone rings, and they make small displays that copy your cell phone face for showing your cellphone pictures and call display.

JBL now makes a computer speaker that looks like a flower…

Dish Network has the most HD channels according to them, and their TV display keeps getting bigger every year as they add more channels.
