Here’s another list of projectors. I’ve got a lot of new sets in for this listing, the website has been updated and there are many high end 9” sets here.

Just a couple of notes regarding emails that I get in daily:

1. I have a forum that apparently a number of you are not seeing on my site. It’s now a relatively large discussion group to chat about all things home theater including CRT Projectors, Digital Projectors, Video processors/HDMI converters, Blu-ray & HD DVD, Audio, and more! There are usually anywhere between 100-200 people online at any given time and over 120,000 posts have been made covering every topic imaginable. 2. Also important, I do not personally have any involvement in the selling of the third party "Marketplace" items such as the HDfury or Moome cards that are often mentioned in newsletters and available for order through this site. We list them as a service to our visitors as they are items that CRT projector and home theater enthusiasts are interested in. While I have used a few of these products, the forum and emailing the vendors directly using the emails on the product pages is the best way to get quick answers to your questions. The forum area is chock full of useful information as many buyers of these products compare notes and give application hints and tips.

New Projectors and other goodies

While the list of sets below has changed as far as the actual sets go that are in stock, the model numbers have not. At this point save for select model numbers, I have virtually every make and model of set in stock, and also have many more parts sets in stock to service existing units. Select new projectors that are in stock are listed below.

(Qty: 1) NEC GP 3000: I’ve got one good working excellent example of the pre- PG series of NEC sets. Tubes in excellent shape, setup remote included.  This is a full data grade set, capable of up to 720p. 600 lumens, EM focusing tubes. $200.00

(Qty: 4) Barco Retro 808s projectors: These are CRT projector chassis that were used in rear projection video cubes. These were all used in the same place, and all have about 3000 hours on them. No visible wear on the MEC tubes (retro sets all used the rebuildable MEC tubes, not the Sony ones), with special short throw lenses that will shoot about a 50” wide image maximum. I’m selling these for far less than I normally would, $750 per set. At this price you can convert a front projection Barco 808 set to LC (you’ll need to source lenses that will give a larger image), or buy these sets as spare parts for an existing unit that you might already have, or buy these for the tubes, which can be dismantled out of the LC housings and installed into standard FP mounts. Your choice. I will be picking these up next week, they are currently in Seattle, and I will most likely be scrapping a few of them for parts and for the tubes. I’ve sold a number of these with great results, there’s only a few left! There are some pictures of these sets here.

(Qty: 3) Marquee 8500: I just got these in, and all have minimal tube wear, I’d rate the tubes at an 8/10. excellent shape, 1080p ready, cases in good shape. Fully functional, ready to go. $2000.00 each.

(Qty: 2) NEC 9PG Xtra: One small step below the NEC XG Series, these sets are in as new condition, no tube wear, astig control, can be run at 1080p with no issues. Point boards installed, in great shape. $2000.00 each.

(Qty: 1) Barco 1209s: I have one of these high end sets left. These were originally SEOS curved screen projectors, and came from the Johnson Space Center. I’ve installed mint tubes into the set, the green one is brand new, and there’s zero wear on the R and B tubes. The case is black, and the sets are 1080p and beyond capable. The case on this unit is black, and is in good shape. GT 17 high resolution lenses are installed on this one. $6500.00

(Qty: 1) Barco 1209s: As is, left set for curved screen use, good red tube, bad G and B tubes, no lenses $1500.00

(Qty: 1) Runco 1100: This is based on the same Barco 1209s chassis as the SEOS units above, but this set has red and green coloured C elements installed. 6200 hours on the chassis. Black case. New green LUG tube installed, the blue tube is an 8.5, the red a 9.5. Excellent shape, remote included. GT 17 lenses installed. Phenomenal shape. $6500.00

(Qty: 3) Barco 909: I have access to three of these rare units and I now have some replacement parts in stock for these as well. The current model and the highest end Barco ever made. 9” tubes, a completely redesigned chassis with 180 Mhz video amplifiers I have three of these. I had 5, two sold instantly. Insanely sharp image on these. Here’s the scoop on them:

One came out of a one owner HT environment. 1500-ish hours on the chassis only. Mint, mint mint, no tube wear whatsoever. A great case, 100% perfect. HFQ-900 lenses Black case. $11,000.00

The other two came out of a simulation lab. Hour count is 3500 and about 5200. The brightness and contrast were set at 20 when I got these, so these tubes are as good as new. Zero tube wear as well, that nice blue Barco case color. HFQ-900 lenses. $10,000.00

These prices are lower than I’ve seen advertised before for 909 projectors, especially with no tube wear. Grab them while you can!
