Here is an abbreviated list of projectors for sale. I spent the better part of the weekend resurrecting my computer that would s...l...o..w... down after 4 minutes of use. I ran an anti-virus program that I did not have before, thinking 'it would never happen to me'...

Well, my hard drive had 1400 or so files with viruses on them...!!! An hour later, with all of them quarantined, the computer still does not run right, and has the same problems. A note to all: Buy an antivirus program!

As a result, I have lost all of my 'inbox', 'sent, and 'trash' files. I had 189 pending emails of 'things to do', and 37 of these I had not even looked at. So if a bunch of you sent me emails last week that went unanswered, please email me again. If you're waiting for parts, please do the same.

A note: Please when responding put a relevant title in the subject header so I can track them more easily until I am back on top of things again.

If you have received this email in error, just let me know. I am now using Outlook Express, and it was putting the return addresses of all senders into my address book automatically. I have sorted this out now...

One tip that I learned from my awesome computer whiz who also replaced the CD Rom drive in the crashed computer: The CD tray was jammed and like any other true techie, I tried opening it with a pen and a screwdriver, which destroyed it. Did you know there is a small pinhole on the front of the CD ROM that unlatches the drawer? Push a pin or paperclip in gently, and it pops right open!

You learn something every day...Wink

Onto the projector list!

As usual, all prices in US dollars, exclusive of shipping. Air shipping appears to be back to normal now, as I have had projectors delivered to the US and Italy in the past week with minimal delays.

VIDEO PROJECTORS.
]
2- Zenith PRO 851 or equivalent Runco 750HT. One has a built in TV tuner, the other is a monitor. The Runco is black, the Zenith is white. Both have used tubes, in reasonable shape; expect about 5000 hours use out of the units. Both units came out of bars, and have cleaned up reasonably well. The cases take paint, so no problem repainting the entire unit.

Video only units, these give a good picture. 600 lumens, analog convergence, wireless remote included.

$700.00 each.

4 Sony 1044. I got these in last week, and have had the opportunity to fire two of them up. Zero wear on the tubes. These came from an A/V rental company, so they were only used when rented. Cases in good shape, indicating that they were housed in proper travel cases when moved. Very bright picture, 700 lumens. 7" Sony tubes, analog convergence with digital on screen menus. Video and S-video inputs. a small projector, very quiet, simple to use and reliable.

$700.00 each

DATA PROJECTORS

1- NEC DP-1200. An older entry level data projector, this unit has 475 lumens, digital convergence, and accepts video and RGB inputs. The unit scans to 32Khz, making it compatible with HDTV and line doublers, as well as 640 X 480 computer resolution. Unit is in nice shape, and gives a good picture. C/W wired remote and owner's manual. Ceiling mount $100.00 extra.

$450.00

5- Electrohome ECP series. I currently have ECP 3000, 3100 and 4000. All projectors are based on similar chassis. 550-600 lumens depending onthe model (all use the same Sony 7" tubes), and scan rates from 55 to 80 Khz. I have both RGB and Video/S-video input cards available. I will sell the unit with one input card of your choice, the other card is available from $100.00 extra. Digital convergence, quiet and small unit, simple to set up, reliable.

I have completed the focus modification to each one of these units that fails commonly in these units. Once the mod is done, it lasts the life of the set. The tubes are in excellent shape, and you can expect between 5000 and 8000 hours life depending on the unit. Owner's manual included, ceiling mount is an extra $100.00. Wireless remotes are available, but I am currently out of stock. EBay has them from time to time.

I have one of the ECP 3000's on eBay right now if you want to see pictures of the unit.

$700.00 to $850.00 depending on the tube shape and the model.

1- Sony 1270. An 8" projector in good shape, it has video, Svideo and RGB inputs. Digital convergence with on screen menus make it very easy to set up. 650 lumens, 75 Khz scan rate make it great for video, S-video and RGB inputs. HDTV compatible. expect about 5000 hours use out of the unit. Wireless remote available for $125.00 extra. Owner's manual included. Ceiling mount $125.00 extra. Reliable units with great fleshtones.

$1000.00

4- Barco Graphics 800. Very similar to the Sony 1270, this unit scans to 92Khz, has 825 lumens, digital convergence, on screen menus, and has video, S-video and RGB inputs. Same 8" tubes as the Sony 1270 for a clear sharp picture. Fully modular, these Barcos are very easy to repair and troubleshoot via email or the phone. Quiet in operation. C/W owner's manual. Wireless remotes are available, but I am currently out of stock. These units were recently retubed, and while the hour meter is moderate, the tubes only have an estimated 3000-3500 hours on them.

$1200.00 each

1- Barco Data 800. Just picked this unit up yesterday, it is identical in performance to the Graphics 800 , but the maximum scan rate is 58 Khz. Recently replaced tubes, there is zero wear on the phosphor. I estimate well under 2500 hours of use on them. Same digital convergence, brightness etc as the Graphics 800 listed above.

$1500.00

1- NEC 6 PG projector. 3075 hours on the tubes. 800 lumens, 60 Khz scan rate, digital convergence, on screen menus RGB inputs. Excellent fleshtones, quiet operation. One of my favourite mid line projectors. C/W wireless remote control. I also have an NEC video switcher box that converts video and S-video signals to the RGB inputs. $200.00 extra. Original NEC ceiling mount $200.00 C/W owner's manual.

Note: One of you recipients has emailed me to send pictures of this unit. Please email me again, as my old computer has eaten your message to me!

$1200.00

Note: I have one more similar low hour unit coming up that I have lent a module out of. Should be back within 10 days, and this other unit is in the same great working shape as the listed one. Same price.

2- Barco 808s. 1200 lumens 110 Khz scan rate. Digital convergence, onscreen menus. Video, S-video and RGB inputs. .Slight 4:3 wear on the blue and green tubes, but good for another 5000 hours or so. B/W and color balance is good within the wear area. Very quiet operation, a very high end unit. IRIS function (autoconvergence) built into the unit. this unit is very similar to the Runco DTV 992 found at www.runco.com, The manual is there for this projector for you to download.

$2500.00 each

1- Barco Graphics 1208. Not quite ready yet, but the newly rebuilt MEC tubes are in, and I'll have the unit retubed this upcoming weekend. I retubed one of these this weekend and sold it instantly. The rebuilt tubes turned out very well, and the unit worked as expected. This second unit came from the same place as the first one did. about 25K hours on the chassis, but all three tubes have been replaced. 1200 lumens, 130 Khz scan rate. Digital convergence and lots of on screen menus, multiple focus points, easy to set up, quiet operation. A large projector, but if you want the best...Wink

Video, S-video and RGB inputs. Compatible with virtually any signal that you can put into it. Ceiling mount included.

$4000.00

1- Electrohome Marquee 8001. Very similar to the BArco 808 or 1208 in performance, this set has low hours (3295) on the chassis, but I have changed the blue and green tubes with newly rebuilt ones due to text burn caused by a PictureTel source unit. The projector is in excellent working shape, and is currently on eBay with pictures. RGB inputs only, I might be able to find a video or S-video module for it for a nominal extra price. Owner's manual included Digital convergence, 1996 vintage, .lots of on screen menus, simple to set up and to operate. Very stable and reliable.

$3200.00

Sony 1292. The only 9" projector I currently have. 5500 hours on the set, very slight 4:3 wear on the blue tube, but color balance is perfect within the wear area. I found a blue tube with no wear on it, and I will change it out this week for perfection. The red and green tubes show no wear. 1200 lumens, 135 KHz scan rate, many on screen menus, digital convergence. Video, S-video and RGB inputs.A top of the line projector, no holds barred! C/W wireless remote.

This projector is on hold until Thursday for a local customer. PLs email then if you are interested.

$4000.00

ACCESSORIES:

5- Electrohome dual RGB active splitters. Allows you to take 1 RGB signal and split it to two sources without signal loss. $50.00 each

I have lots of Barco 800 series modules as well as Barco 600 modules in stock. Most parts sold on an exchange basis; email for particulars.

The below pictures are of line doubled and non line doubled pictures on the Sony 1292

I have zoomed the digital camera in to show the scanning lines on the first picture. The second picture show no scanning lines. While the digital camera blurs the image itself a bit, the effect is much more noticeable when you view an image. For most projectors, a DVDO line doubler found at www.avsforum.com in the classifieds works well. For higher end projectors such as the Sony 1292, the Marquee series, the NEC XG or the Barco 808 and 1208 a line tripler or a quadrupler will make more use of the projector and the higher resolution these units are capable of.

Please email me with any questions or more details about these units, and thank you for your support!
