Here is a new projector list of units and accessories for sale. For those of you new to the mailing list, welcome! This is a private list not given to others. If you want off this list, just shoot me a quick email back, and I'll take you of right away. As always, all pricing is in US dollars.

IMPORTANT NOTICES

1) A reminder AGAIN that parts and modules that I send out are LOANER parts, and unless specifically stated by myself, the defective parts that they replace must be sent back to me. I repair the old boards and put them back into stock. As new parts for these projectors are insanely expensive, I must get the old boards back. I've had many people throw them out, or simply not send them back. This reduces my loaner stock greatly, and if the trend continues, I will have to consider simply having people send me boards for repairs. this will slow down the turnaround.

2) A note to all projector purchasers. SInce the rainy weather s here again, at least in Vancouver, it is mandatory to let all projectors sit indoors unwrapped and unplugged for 24 hours to let any moisture evaporate. High voltage and moisture are NOT a good mix..

3) During this busy projector season (Sept to March), I get well over 50 emails a day. I do my best to answer them all in a timely fashion, however if you have a general question about screens, scalers, signal processing, how do I hook my my XXX box to my XXX projector etc, please feel free to post at www.avsforum.com in the forums section. Chances are you'll get a faster and better answer. (Of course if you've bought a projector from me, fire away!). I am however at a bit of a loss to questions about a lot of HD receivers, as here in Canada we have about three choices as compared to several dozen (?) available in the US currently.

4) I'll be out of town Monday Oct 18th for the day only, and will be answering emails on Monday night again.

PROJECTORS FOR SALE:

1- Sony VPH 722. This is an older entry level video only projector in decent shape. 500 lumens from 7" Sony tubes. Analog convergence, easy to set up, convection cooled for zero fan noise. THe tubes are in good shape, and will last about 8000 hours +. These sets were never driven very hard, so the tubes last almost forever. Great as a starter unit, and this set will blow away comparably priced digitals on ebay, or set this one up for the kids to play games on so they don't wear out the good projector in your theater!.

$350.00

3-Panasonic PT-101Y projectors. Very similar to the Sony above, this set is a bit brighter, and it has an S-video input on it. Similar analog convergence to the Sony above. Two fans produce virtually no noise. Tubes are in good shape. On eBay here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=15079&item=5725729673&rd=1

$400.00 each

3- Sony 10XX series. Only three left! One Sony 1031, two 1030's These sets are excellent beyond-starter sets The 1030 and 1031 sets are identical, 600 lumens, video and RGB inputs, 7" tubes, etc. The only difference is that the 1030 scans to 32 Khz, good for line doubling, and the 1031 is good to 36 Khz, good for line doubling and HDTV. THe sets' condition are all mint! No tube wear to speak of, and they throw an excellent image. The cases are in good shape, minor scratches here and there, nothing serious. I've got foam lined road cases that I'll send these in, but the cases will need to be sent back.

1- Sony 1031- all tubes near mint, good for 9K hours $550.00

2- Sony 1030- tubes in mint shape, good for 9K hours $500.00
on eBay here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=32862&item=5725729725&rd=1

1- ECP 4100. A small anbd quiet performer, these popular and reliable sets work really well, and were used as the base for a number of Vidikron models selling for thousands more. 80 Khz scan rate, 600 lumens, dual RGB input cards included, a video/S-video card is available as is a second RGB card if needed. Sony 7" tubes, The wireless remote is included. THe focus modification has been done for improved reliability. Digital convergence, lots of on screen menus for a simple set up. tubes in good shape, good fro 8000 + hours. The case is in good shape

$650.00

I just got in three late model 4100 sets. Same as above, but with the brighter Sony 07MS tubes that are 750 lumens. These three sets also have later software (no real advantage) and have the later version of focus boards installed. for all intents and purposes you could call these ECP 4500's (but they say 4100 on the case). The cases do have some marks on them, but a shot of paint will clean these up. Excellent working condition, flawless tubes, no wear at all. You'll get 9500 hours + out of these. On eBay here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=32862&item=5726426910&rd=1

$750.00 USD

2- Ampro 2000. I've got a two more of these sets in, with tubes in good shape, good for 7000 hours or so. THese are great little sets, 600 lumens from 7" Sony tubes, 80 Khz scan rate, video, S-video and RGB inputs. Digital convergence. Only 10" tall make these great for low ceiling installations. Wired or wireless remote included, with PC software included as well. are on eBay here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=32862&item=5725727995&rd=1

$500.00

2 Barco Data 800. I've got two of these workhorses again in good shape., 825 lumens from 8" Sony tubes, 58 Khz scan rate, Video, S-video and RGB inputs. On screen menus, wireless remotes included, full modular construction for easy servicing down the road, digital convergence, very easy to set up. Excellent images out of both of these. The tubes are good for 7000 hours +. I've sold lots of these with excellent results. I do about 12 component modifications to these for long term reliability.

$800.00 each.

I've also got one Barco Data 800 that has text wear outside of the 16:9 area. I've priced this set lower than normal due to this tube wear. Great for a well-beyond entry level set for people on a budget. You'll get 5000 + hours out of this set. All mods done as above, the chassis will last well past the tubes. On eBay here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=32862&item=5725728705&rd=1

$500.00

2- Barco Vision 701s. It's been a while since I've had this model in. This set uses 7 1/2" Toshiba tubes that put out 1000 lumens, a lot of brightness for this small set. 36 Khz scan rate, it has video, S-video, component and RGB inputs. Digital convergence, virtually silent operation, both set's cases are in immaculate condition, and even have the doors that cover the controls intact. The tubes are in good shape, all three have a hint of wear, as it looks like these sets were used in 16:9 mode. If you set these projectrs up in 16:9 mode as well, you'll never see the wear, and will get 8500 hours + out of the tubes. Even if used in 4:3 mode, the wear is hard to see, and is not distracting. On eBay here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=32862&item=5726489797&rd=1

$1500.00 each

NEC PG series. I've got a slew of NEC PG series projectors, probably about 15 in all. These range from the original model NEC 6 and 9 PG at 800 lumens with RGB inputs to the later and slightly improved 6 and 9 PG + models (slightly higher scan rate) to the newest 6 and 9 Pg Xtra models that had additional focus and astig adjustments and 1000 lumen tubes. All use the same case style, are reliable and come with the wireless remote control. I can retube any of the sets that I have in stock, most are showing some G and B tube wear. I've got a couple in good original tube shape, others are unusable as is. The point convergence board, optional on most of these adds 100 points of convergence fine tuning per color. I've sold out of sets with good original tubes, but I have about 12 sets in good shape with the exception of the tube that will need to be replaced. They will be selling for the following pricing:

6 PG set, no wear on the tubes $1600.00

6 PG Xtra- no wear on the tubes. $2400.00

1- 6 PG Xtra- a bit of uniform wear on the G and B tubes, a perfect red. Sold at a discount to reflect the bit of tube wear, but still very useable as is . on eBay here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=32862&item=5725729626&rd=1

$1600.00

9 Pg Xtra- no wear on the tubes $2800.00

8" EM focus sets. I have a slew of Barco 808 models in of varying types (8 total) and I've looked at a few so far. All sets have 1200 lumens, video, S-video and RGB inputs Here's the breakdown:

4 BArco Data 808s. - THese sets use the MEC tubes that are rebuildable at a reasonable cost. 75 Khz scan rate, good for HDTV and all sources up to and beyond line quadrupling. These models have the IRIS autoconvergence and component inputs. Low hours on all of them, all green tubes show a bit of wear as is normal with the hour count, no need to retube at this point, or add $600.00 to the price and I'll put a VDC green tube in now at my cost. These range in hour count from 3500-4200 hours. Note that all of these tubes are in the same shape regardless of hour count. One is on eBay here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=32862&item=5725728530&rd=1

$2300.00 each

2- Barco Graphics 808s. I have two of these with moderate tube wear, sold cheap as the Graphics 808s sets use expensive non rebuildable tubes. USe the chassis as spare parts for an existing unit, or use for a few thousand hours now and retube later. 110 Khz scan rate, component input, IRIS autoconvergence.

$1000.00 each

2- Barco Graphics 808s. Same specs as above, but with the tubes in good shape. Figure on 7000 hours out of these two.

$2000.00 each

2- BArco 1208/2. 135 Khz scan rate. Tubes are in great shape, you'll get 7000 hours + hours of use. MEC tubes Case in decent shape. One is on eBay here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=32862&item=5725728083&rd=1

$2300.00

I've got another two BG 1208/s sets. One has very low (2154) hours on it, with the tubes in excellent shape. $2800.00.

The other is a very late model 1208/2s, with IRIS built in, component input, low (3000) hours, and I'll be installing a new green tube this upcoming week. While the 1208's are a bit larger than the 808's, they do have slightly better specs, and they are an excellent performer.
$3200.00

I have gone through my remaining 15 Marquee sets. Some are ready to go, some have tubes in transit as I write this. The Marquee line are excellent 8" EM focus sets with 1200 lumens light output (1000 for the Marquee 8000). THe 8000 came out first, and set the standard for the entire Marquee line. The 8110 came out next, and the HV power supply was bumped up to give 1200 lumens light output. THe 8500 is still being manufactured, and added electronic astigmatism controls to the 8110 chassis for better focusing for data projection purposes. I've retubed one of each of these models in the last week, and can truly say that for HT use, there's VERY little difference between all three models. For internet surfing and for CAD use, sure, then the astig controls give slightly better control over the corner focus, but for those on a budget, the 8000 and 8110 are excellent bets. Fully modular construction makes for easy servicing down the road. RGB inputs are standard on these sets, a second RGB card and video/S-video card are available as an option. Wireless remotes are included.

I've priced these as follows with new G and B tubes, original reds in great shape:

MArquee 8000- $2500.00
MArquee 8110- $3000.00
MArquee 8500- $3500.00.

I also have two 8110's in stock as well as an 8000 that have good low hour original tubes, and they needed only ONE tube replaced.

Marquee 8000 with new blue tube $2000.00
MArquee 8110 with new green tube $2500.00 each

Ampro 3300/3600. I have two Ampro 3600's and one 3300. As most of you know, the Ampro line are excellent projectors, but have a bit lower mean time before failures. They use the same rebuildable tubes as the E'homes and Barcos, and have excellent fleshtones, right up there with the NEC's in my opinion. 110 Khz scan rate, 1200 lumens, RGB, video and S-video inputs. Digital convergence, and the wireles remote is included. I've held off listing these until I've run them fully, and have recently scrapped several of these to have a good supply of backup modules in stock for them. these sets have a bit lower profile than most others, making them good for low ceiling applications. I generally sell Ampro sets with a 25% discount over a comparable BArco or Electrohome. So if you want high performance, and don't mind changing a module now and then, and have a budget that can't get you into a Barco or E'home, the Ampros are a good bet.

The 3300 has a couple of less adjustments (minimal) than the 3600 sets. The 3300 has a new green tube, with the R and B in good shape. One of the 3600's has 100 hour R and B tubes in it with new green and hs the 3600 HD, the latest version of the 3600, the other 3600 has a new blue with good original R and G tubes.

1- 3300 $1800.00
1- 3600 $2300.00
1- 3600HD $2500.00

MArquee 9000LC. I have installed a NEW green tube into the 9000LC that I've had in my 'upcoming' list for a while. It turns out the blue tube only has a very slight wear pattern on it, so I'm offering the set now with a hint of wear on the B tube, or you have the option to install a new blue tube at my cost, at $1000.00 more. The 9000LC was the predecessor to the 96500LC. I've updated the video siginal path to the newer 9500LC modules. 135 Khz scan rate, 1200 lumens from 9" LC tubes. Video, S-video and RGB inputs. A gorgeous picture! Frankly, I can't tell the difference between the 9000LC and 9500LC, other than the 9500 LC has a few more adjustments in the menu. Safe to say that the video quality of the 9000LC is the same as the 9500LC as long as the video path has the newer boards in it. On eBay here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=32862&item=5725735630&rd=1

$6000.00.

Note that I'll have one more 9000LC as well as a 9500LC coming in within a week or so.

Saving the best for last once again...

Here is the first Barco 1209s that I've ever had in. The 's stands for Scheimpflug adjustments, which is something that the earlier BArco 1200's and 1209's lacked. This allows for precise corner focus adjustment. The 1209s also has a redesigned mounting method for the tubes and lenses, which eliminates the stress on the tube mounting hardware which causes cooling fluid leaks, something that every early 9" Barco owner is most likely familiar with...

This particular 1209s also has the IRIS 3 auto convergence camera built in, as well as a LIDO line doubler, the internal BArco line doubler card, that upconverts any video or S-video signal (can be turned off within the internal menus). Made in July of 1998, this really is a late model set. 135 Khz scan rate, video, S-video, component and RGB inputs. all glass 9" lenses for perfect alignment, focus and resolution. Digital convergence, with all of the latest software for more precise control of focusing, astigmatism, gamma, etc. A brute of a set at 220 lbs +, but a solid performer. The green tube has the slightest hint of a wear pattern, very large on the tube face, and it's not required to be changed out at this point or for many thousands of hours of use, but I do extend the offer to replace it with a new glass tube at $1000.00 more. On eBay here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=32862&item=5726423881&rd=1

$7500.00

Note that I do have one more 1209s coming in this upcoming week in unknown shape. It should be on the next list.

ACCESSORIES and OTHER STUFF

I've gotten busy and gone through a bunch of accessories and put them on eBay. If there's no bids on them, I can close the auction, if there are bids, then I have to let the auction run its course.

100- MArquee neck boards. These are good for parts use only, as they are dead stock from the original manufacturer. The transistors on these are very hard to find and are now discontinued, and cause the picture to streak. Buy spares now while you can!
$10.00 each

Assorted BNC to BNC RGB cables. With the last lot of BArco projectors, I got a whole bunch of high end coax BNC to BNC cables. The breakdown of what I have left is as follows:

2- 10'
2- 15'
1- 20'
2- 25'- one end is bare wire
1- 30'
1- 35'

All cables are $1.00 per foot including ends, deduct $5.00 from the 25' ones that only have one end terminated.

2- Extron 112 Plus RGB interfaces. On eBay here.Good for boosting weak RGB signals or to boost up the weaker outputs of HTPC's to a full 1 volt.

$50.00 each

Assorted CRT input modules. Again, a large bulk purchase of Electrohome ECP and Sony 12XX series input boards. Priced to sell, cheep cheep cheep!

Let me know what you need!

1- BGW 750 amplifier. A silver rack mount 200 watt per channel power amplifier, good for PA, subwoofers, DJ's, etc.Good working shape. Came out of a Vancouver Visitor's center, never on the road.

$225.00

ITEMS I NEED:

As usual, I'm looking for things..

1) 10- Marquee red tubes. Can have very light wear.

2) Barco 1208 CRT neck boards. Looking for 5 or 6 to maintain my parts stock.

I'll be listing more accessories in subsequent lists, and will list more A/V stuff on ebay as well, I've got to clear out a bunch of stuff here to make way for more projectors.

Thanks again for your support!
