Projectors, projectors…
High end 9" projectors are still being featured. I've got a LOT of great 9" sets in stock, let's put them into nice home theaters! Now that Blu-Ray and HD-DVD are available, a 9" set will give you the most resolution and longest tube life.
Parts n' stuff
I am adding parts to my stock daily. I seem to be one of the only places left that can repair virtually any CRT module down to a component level. With some other casual resellers now out of the business, rest assured I'll support ANY CRT projector out there, whether purchased from me or not.
Parts needed
I am looking for a few parts that I'm willing to buy or trade other stuff for:
(2) P19 green tube in an 8+ condition. Again, hardware is not important, I can swap that out.
(2) Ampro 2000 style remotes. I've got a need for two good working old style Ampro remotes. I've got lots of sets but few remotes.
Thanks for your support!

These are ES
focusing 9" LC sets
with analog
convergence. 1200
lumens, super
bright! These use
the hard to find
Sony SD 146A tubes
also used in the
Ampro 4000 models. I
will sell these
complete with road
cases or will part
them out if you just
need boards or
tubes. It is a good
way to get into a
high resolution 9"
sets for far less
than the newer 9" LC
sets sell for.

Barco
Data 1001: I've
got two of these
sets in excellent
shape. These use the
Sony 9" ES focusing
tubes, and are
analog convergence
but will scan to
above 1080i or 42
Khz. I'll throw in
some spare modules
for these as I've
scrapped some of the
sets I had here.
Very cheap at $400
each. These will
give a very bright
image for any SD or
HD signal. Very low
hours on the tubes,
these came from an
A/V rental company
that had them in
storage most of the
time. |

The
Ampro 4200 are full
9" EM focusing LC
sets. These use the
same tubes as the
Sony 1292. 90 Khz
scan rate, 1080p
ready. 1000 lumens.
These are a great
inexpensive way to
get into a 9" set.
Sure, they don't
have quite the focus
of a G90, but they
will outperform an
8" EM focusing set.

Ampro
4200:
Another set from the
A/V company, the
tubes were replaced
in 1999 and the set
was put into storage
in 2000. I’m
guessing there’s not
more than 1000 hours
if that on the
tubes, they are
milky white with not
a hint of wear on
them. Wired remote
included, and your
choice of HD 10 or
HD10L lenses
depending on your
screen size. Wired
remote included. |

9" LC tubes, 1200

The 1209 is the
original version of
this set with HD 10

Barco
1209: This set
was only ever
installed locally in
a home theater. It's
got a new (not
rebuilt) green tube
in it, the R and B
show zero wear and
are in great shape.
The case has been
painted in eggshell,
similar to the
original Barco case
but it now has a
smooth surface.
Installs directly in
place of a 1208 if
you're looking to
upgrade. An easy
setup, Barcos are
very intuitive. |

Barco
1209s: This set
isn't actually here
yet, but it has low
hours on it, and
I'll be dropping in
an NOS (new old
stock) set of Barco
tubes that I managed
to find. Same specs
as the 1209 above,
but is a few years
newer, and has the
mechanical
Scheimpflug
adjustment on the
tube mounting
bracket. This unit
also has the IRIS 3
camera. Relatively
low hours on the
chassis, and I'll be
test running this
set for 100 hours
before selling it.
Notes:
The tubes in this
Barco 1209s are in
really good shape,
slight wear on the
green, the R and B
are pretty darn
good, and I'll give
the buyer of the
1209s the option of
buying the original
set of tubes for a
really good price.
While good condition
1209s sets are
really hard to find,
the parts and
modules are not, so
there's really good
support out there
for these sets. |

State of the art 9"
sets. 9" liquid
coupled tubes.
135Khz and 1200

perfect corner

stock on these
units.
Very easy to set up.
Not as long as most
projectors, they are
about 3" taller than
the Barco series.
Very modular in
construction, and
super reliable.
Video, S-video and
RGB inputs.
I do all of the mods
(including
anamorphic squeeze
mod, the power
supply/filament
mods, and replace a
bunch of parts on
the video boards
that commonly fail)
required to make the

9500LC: Once
again I have a
couple of good
condition 9500s in
stock. These are top
of the line 9" sets
that are easy to set
up. Both sets have
good tubes in them,
I'd rate them all an
8+. As typical, the
reds show no wear,
the G and B are in
really good shape.
Emission and focus
of all tubes are
excellent. The
cooling chambers
have been checked to
remove any excessive
pressure that can
result in glycol
leaks. |

Ultra: I've got
one 9500 LC Ultra

tubes. A great case
as well. |

9500LC Ultra:

I've put on 50 hours
of test time at low
brightness to make
sure the tubes are
100%, and they
are... :) the GT17
lenses have been
installed as came
stock with most
Ultra sets. |

The
G90 is Sony's best
(and last) late

projector. It uses
9" liquid coupled

display anything you
can throw at it,
including 1080p),
component input

regular

super-bright 1300

Sony
G90: I've had
this set for a
while, and have
chosen to list it
here in 'as is'
shape.
Here's the condition
of it:
The
set will power on as
normal, the picture
and menus will come
up fine. The problem
is, no matter what
function you access,
brightness,
contrast,
convergence, focus,
etc, the set will
not respond, despite
the onscreen numbers
changing from 0 to
254. Every once in a
while the set will
shut down with
convergence board
error codes, but I
don't think that's
the problem.
I've asked a
couple of Sony techs
that all seem to
think that the I2R
data line going to
the boards is bad.
I've sent a few of
the boards including
the RGB input and
CPU boards to Terry
(another tech) to
test, and they check
fine, so the problem
is not in the
expensive boards...
He also checked the
H deflection board.
I'm debating here
whether to sell the
set as is to someone
that has another G90
or whether to keep
working on it. So
I've decided to do
both. I'm listing it
now as is, but will
keep working on it.
The set came out
of an HT
environment, 8000
hours on it. It was
ceiling mounted.
There's 16:9 wear on
the green and blue,
the red looks great
as expected. Case is
in good shape, some
minor marks, etc. No
glycol leakage that
could have damaged
the motherboard.
Doesn't look like
this set has been
worked on before.
I think the key
to repairing this is
to have a second G90
to swap boards out
with. That will nail
the problem down
within an hour.
Heck, I'd even
assist in repairing
the board once it's
nailed down.
Otherwise, with the
rarity of G90
boards, sell off the
lenses and use this
set for spare parts.
Comes completely
stock as original,
with the high res HD
10F lenses, Sony's
answer to the GT 17
lenses. Post with
any questions. If I
get the set working,
it will sell for a
LOT more than this
'as is' price!
I will keep
working on this set,
and I reserve the
right to pull the
set from the listing
here if I get the
set running!
No G90 ceiling
bracket available
from me at this
time. |
