The world's first 1080p dual projector passive 3D processor delivering movie theatre quality visual experience via inexpensive passive/polarized 3D glasses on a silver screen. A simple setup designed for commercial and residential experience offering dramatic 3D with non-3D projectors.

Also allows 2D content to be viewed with enhanced quality and extraordinary depth with dual projectors and passive glasses.

The 3D-Evolver supports every 3D signal type in existence today including frame-packing, side-by-side, top-bottom. It is firmware updatable so that new features can be added in the future as needed.

3D converters like the 3D-Theater use active (battery powered) RF shutter glasses or similar that require an emitter to work. These glasses are typically priced around the $70-$100 mark.

The 3D-Evolver uses inexpensive polarized 3D glasses like those used in commercial movie theaters. These glasses are very inexpensive and are available in kid sizes too. No emitter required, no batteries to charge, and no worries about breaking a pair as they are so inexpensive.

The 3D-Evolver supports up to 1080p Full HD while the 3D-Theatre supports up to 720p.

A dual projector setup with both running at 60Hz refresh eliminates the flicker of a single projector active system where each eye only gets 30Hz (as not all projectors support 120Hz). A dual projector setup also doubles the brightness of the system, allowing for larger screens and/or a brighter picture with the 3D glasses on. Brightness is always reduced with single-projector active systems.

Ideal for sports bars, entertainment venues, night clubs, commercial theaters, home theaters, education facilities, commercial events, corporate presentations, mobile event organizers, cruise liners, and much more. The very inexpensive passive 3D Glasses along with non-3D projectors make this the most affordable and highest performance 3D solution for any budget.

What size filters are included?
The linear film included is 10x6". Circular film included 8x4" for left and right. Additional sheets are available for $50. Spectra type filters (similar to Dolby) are now available as well.

What glasses are included?
4 pairs of linear and circular glasses are included. Additional glasses are $4.99 each for quantities less than 25. Spectra (Dolby type) glasses are now available as well for $15.99 each.

What polarization schemes are supported?
The 3D-Evolver supports all polarization schemes. Linear and the circular is supported, and requires a silver screen. A Spectra type solution (similar to Dolby) is also available at additional cost but works with a regular screen as well as a silver screen.

What is the Spectra type solution?
The spectra separation kit is similar to the Dolby solution in that it uses spectra separation as opposed to the polarization scheme used by IMAX & REALD. The spectra separation solution offered by "3D-VIP" however is better than Dolby as it is 5-band separation as opposed to the Dolby 3-band separation. The Dolby solution tends to create a bit of colour loss or degradation while the Spectra solution does not.

The solution also comes with compatible passive 3D glasses and will work only with our filters. The 3D-VIP Spectra Solution will work with either regular and silver screens (non-silver screens are not possible with linear & circular polarization).

Two types of Spectra solutions are available: One for LCD/LCOS projectors, and another for DLP projectors. The filters and glasses are different for each so make sure to select the right projector type when ordering. The filters come with frames, and the size is approximately 4 inches by 3 inches.

Why can't I use a silver screen for 2D?
A silver screen is required for 3D content when using the linear/circular kit. Silver screens are not well suited for 2D content as they wash out the blacks and blur the 2D image. If you intend to show both 2D and 3D content and do not want to use two separate screens, consider the Dolby Kit as the Dolby solution works on a regular (non-silver) screen. The caveat is that Dolby glasses are more expensive.
