Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knew where I coudl get the RS-232 control software for my HDP-500.
I appreciate any help.

I'm not 100% sure but I don't think Dwin ever had that as a option. I think they do provide RS232 protocol for you to use with a Crestron or AMX control system. Why do you ask, Do you not have the IR remote? If you have a missing or broken remote, there are other options.

Thanks for the reply!
Yes my remote is missing and I have ordered a new one and it will be here next week, but I thought I might be able to turn it on using the rs-232 port.
Are there other ways of turning it on without a remote?
Well besides setting it up to power up when a signal is detected, but I think that requires the remote.

Here is a copy of the command structure for your 500. The 500 and 700 use the same brand code for the remote so this is for either.
Also page 28 of the 700 user manual gives you the control protocol useing hyper terminal.
Its my understanding that Dwin shipped the RS232 control software with the projector when new. Finding someone that has it could be another story.

I will have to try sending some commands via hyperterminal.
I will let you know how it goes.
