Hi,

Buy.com has the Blu Ray version of Digital Video Essentials for $16.99 shipped,...CLICK HERE

Update: Amazon has it on sale at $16.95 and it's eligible for free super saver shipping is you spend more than $25: [BLU-RAY] Digital Video Essentials: HD Basics (DVD International)

Just a heads up.

I ordered it and will get a copy from Netflix tomorrow to check out while I wait.

Wow,

That's a cool new feature.

Can you do that to my Buy.com link?

http://affiliate.buy.com/gateway.aspx?adid=17662&pid=2343781&aid=10391416&sURL=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Ebuy%2Ecom%2Fprod%2Fdigital%2Dvideo%2Dessentials%2Dhd%2Dbasics%2Dblu%2Dray%2Fq%2Floc%2F322%2F205511556%2Ehtml+

By the way,.. buy.com is nearly sold out of this... sorry but I just recently found out about it myself.

Not unless Buy.com has the same feature's available. I've signed up for their affiliate program but it's not quick/automatic. We'll sell after they review my form.

Ok, they sent me the info and they don't have any sort of fancy stuff like that at Buy.com. I did add the affiliate code to the links you provided so if someone does order, the few extra cents goes to the forum. Wink

Got a copy of this disc from Netflix and I'm very happy with it.

From what I understand the audio section is a bit gimped (5.1 only and doesn't have info about certain forms of HD Audio) but the HD Test patterns in 720 and 1080p look great.

And the tutorial is kindof fun to watch too.

no. seriously folks. some of you can put "cleaner" images on the front. and we can hover to get BETTER Wink images.
that way I don't catch flak when my wife sees emdawgz's or z's avatar! we often read in bed and she glances over every once and a while. If I have to explain it a thousand times.... "It a projector forum, honey - he's just a pig and I don't like them either but the dam moderators do nothing about it!". Wink
BTW, she really likes Curt's avatar! Goes to show you - never judge a book by it's cover.

to date i think i only deleted 1 thread. at Curts request.
the rest is changing subject lines from things like "This Sucks"
or "Did you ever See this?" to something that really represents the subject of the thread.
the rest we let sort themselves out or die a natural death.

Yep. I don't interfere much with the threads either, I've fixed typo's in titles twice and removed one link for a projector auction. Oh yeah and had some fun with the cell phone spammer. Mr. Green

Other than that this is an easy place to moderate. Most of the established guys don't need moderating and the new guys pic it up fast. Generally if someone jumps on here and tries to sell with 1 post to their name the curt palme slaps them off the forum.

You do realize you CAN turn off the avatar's right?
