A new newsletter is on it's way out to subscribers.

You can read it here first: http://www.curtpalme.com/newsletters/Newsletter_Mar_24_2008.shtm

We're trying something new and including a whole pile of Home Theater Question & Answers based on emails we've received over the last 2 weeks. Give it a read and learn something new (hopefully)! Let me know what you think.

... and hopefully I haven't made too many mistakes either. Smile

Kal

P.S. Some of the pro's here will find that I gloss over some of the concepts a bit (like 1080i vs 1080p). This is done on purpose as 90% of the audience is fairly new to home theater and the technologies involved (ex: most don't understand the difference between component and RGB). Most people would just get lost if we go into too much detail.

I've added a nifty little features to the "Blu-ray Release Dates & Must-have titles" links that we publish in the newsletters: Just hover over them to get a picture and pricing on the disc without having to actually click through... neat! Saves a bunch of time and guesswork whether a disc is worth it or not or what it is (at least for me).

Here's an example: (just hover over any of the links)

March 25, 2008
Bonnie & Clyde (Warner)
Digital Video Essentials: HD Basics (DVD International)
Mendelssohn: A Midsummer Night's Dream (Opus Arte)
Steep (Sony)

April 01, 2008
10.5 Apocalypse: The Complete Miniseries (Echo Bridge)
Alvin and the Chipmunks (2007) (Fox)
Artie Lange's Beer League (Echo Bridge)
Behind The Yellow Line (Celestial)
Blackbeard (2006) (Echo Bridge)
Category 7: The End of the World (Echo Bridge)
Coyote Ugly (Walt Disney)
The Curse Of King Tut's Tomb: The Complete Miniseries (Echo Bridge)
Hidalgo (Walt Disney)
The Last Sentinel (Echo Bridge)
Unbreakable (Walt Disney)

I've also done this on the "OFFICIAL Blu-ray Release Dates & Must-have titles" thread here in the forum over in the "Movies and Media Talk" section.

Half the time I can't tell what something is by the name but when I see the cover shot I know right away...

Kal

Thanks!

FYI: I have a pile of other Q&A's already for the next newsletter so I'll likely send another one out in a week's time. If the emails get too long they seem to get cut off/corrupted.
