I was looking at other threads could it be contamination?
I think curt had a problem with a tube a while ago.
If so how would you burn this off?
I have read about it and would like to know how to do it.

Thank you to all for your help.

now I am wondering if the tube is bad, shorted inside. do you have another tube to try? you dont have to install it , I test tubes by swinging down the back heat sink, i put something over it like a long pice of foam and then lay the tube onto it then connect all the leads to it. fire up the projector and see if it happens on that tube as well. if it doesnt then you have a bad tube.

I think you turn up g2 pretty high on that tube and let it run to see what happens, look at Cliffs meet thread, it has it on there.

The fix was i ramped the g2 up to like 60 on the pj then tapped the lc housing with a hammer and i heard a pop then all good. Twisted Evil
