Hi, I am having problems with my new Ext HD box.

I am not able to switch HDMI inputs unless I unplug the power supply from the box. I am only using the 2-HDMI inputs. One from my Comcast PVR and the second from a PS3.

I am not able to adjust the gamma with the remote.

I am only very rarely able to turn the box off or on with the remote.

I have taught the IR commands to my Pronto, hoping that a stronger signal would solve the problem.

The picture is good out of the box, better than what I was getting with my old set up. Can't wait for Doug to come up and get it completely calibrated to the new source.

Does anybody know what is wrong with my box?

Is anybody else having these same problems with the latest version of this Ext HD box?

Steve

I am just starting to play with mine, the remote seems flaky, but I have not spent enough time with it yet to really test it.

Oh joy.

Hi, here is an update on how my box is working.

I emailed Moome, and got a response back with in a few hours. Not bad for the time change.

Moome asked me if I had trained the unit. I don't understand that question so I have asked him to clarify.

After getting his response, I spent some time playing around and trying different sequences and things being on and off.

I discovered a very short quick push of the remote would get a response from the box. I re-programed my Pronto to this very short push and then the pronto started getting a response from the box.

If I use a long push on the remote I get no response from the box.

My concern is when I create a macro to switch sources that this quick response is going not change the box. The macro will be the next step.

Does anybody know what the switches on the front are for?

reading the manual it looks like Gamma is set to a max at the factory and then we step it down to please. Is that correct.

I will try the short presses of the remote, hopefully tonight.

That's the way mine was. The remote is then used to adjust it within that off -> max range with 20 clicks.

I watch a show at lunch today, I was not able to use my Pronto to change the input. I had to use the included remote and after a couple of tries, I was able to get it to switch.

I hope there is going to be a fix for this.

Depending if you use component this may be the simplest fix.

Hi, Further update; In an email from Moome, he said that prolonged depressing the remote button would cause the box to lock up.

I have been able to get the box to switch inputs about 80% of the time with the short push of the button.

I am also having issues with the remote control of the EXT-HD second batch. The remote is so intermittent that is [u]useless. I have tried using a very short push, but still only get results about 50% of the time. Does anyone know if this is a common problem on all units or just some? Also, is there any known fix. It would really be nice not to have to get up to change or turn on the unit manually. Other than the remote problem the picture is great!
