I have a Barco Graphics 1209 that I can't seem to fully revive after a recent hardware failure. I was out of town for part of the repair efforts, but from what I've been told, it was powering up but not displaying an image. In the end, I got it going by replacing the Splitter, but I cannot recover convergence. The initial raster shifts of the red and blue tubes work just fine to align the center the images, but in all other zones, the image fails to shift vertically. I can run the setting from 0 to 100 and nothing changes in the image.

I did notice a mention of this symptom in the Troubleshooting FAQ's, but I'm still a bit of a novice with CRT's, so if someone could provide a little more detail on possible causes I could investigate, I'd appreciate it.

This is a problem in the convergence board itself. THE arc most likely took out something on one of the boards on that convergence tray. I can test/repair the boards for you if you want.

Thanks Curt.

The way this projector is mounted, it can be quite difficult to get to the convergence tray. If I'm going to get in there I'd like to have a good idea of where to start with troubleshooting, as I may have a spare on hand that I can install. Is there a preferred order of operations for tracking down a problem like this?

Swap out the whole tray or all boards in it so you only have to do it once.
