Well,
Sometimes the marquee's make me a little nervous. After a long period I tought it was time to redo a proper serup on the quee. Well, it powers up but there is no picture. The tubes lite up more then it supposed to, red and blue the strongest, green just weak (the green is LUG)
So there it is, on my ceiling, but without a chance of a proper image. I have a lot of spare boards, but where do I start?
- No testpatterns when pressing the #
- No OSD
- No error's, even after a few times putting it in standby.
Thanks

Hello
Is your remote working? If so, the "C" led on the back panel should blink. The VIM or control board may have issues.

Good call Tim. Check the remote first. After that I would start with the CLM since you don't have any error lights. Then the VIM. Those are also the easist two boards to swap.

Couldn't it need it's boards reseated too?Just Greg has mentioned this in the past. There's a strip of foam that wears out and alows one of the boards to drop a bit and doens't make contact.
I don't own a marquee though so maybe Tim know's the one I mean?

I use the wired remote. I can set the projector in standby with it. So I suppose it works?

If it's the VIM, it's the second VIM I use in a short period of time.. So I hope not.
(Both 2035-03P so not the ones you like to consider "lost")

Swapped the CLM, no it powers up again. What's most likely to fail on the CLM?

If you have an IC puller remove all the chips that are in sockets and clean them with a good contact cleaner for electronics like Craig's. Do them one at a time and remember how they came out so you put them back in the same way. Then check the voltage on the battery i think it should be around 3 volts, check Tims site i think its listed there. Aslo clean the contacts on the DPB board and if you have a stig board that too. Then the contacts that plug into the back plane of the projector, i put a little extra on these and push the CLM in and out a few times to clean the contacts on that backplane as well. I bet it works after all that. If not then there might be a bad component on the CLM.
