I still dislike DirecTV.

Even with the MPEG-4 equipped HR21s I am still experiencing problems in the delivery of HD programming. From the audio double-stepping on HDnet/Movies (for the lack of better descriptor) to the audio sync on my local CBS HD channel, these are problems that need to be resolved. Like the unwanted ability to see DLP rainbows, I do hate it that I noticed these audio problems.

As a Dish Employee I believe we are a great company. I was always unsure whether or not to go to satellite T.V. Once I started with Dish they asked me to try the service and see if I like it. I love it! Prices are amazing for all customers! We have HD free for life for all customers not just new like Direct. We treat everyone equal as customer. I'd keep Dish even if I didn't work for them. Wish I come sooner. Great equipment and wonderful customer service!

Wan, what do you mean by "audio double-stepping? I have DirecTV and I'm not aware of any audio-specific issue.

Sarahs20, thanks for bumping a two-plus year old thread to spam our forum about how much you supposedly love your employer's service... Apparently, you're not aware that Dish sends out over-compressed bandwidth-constrained crap to maximize channel capacity just like DirecTV does. I'm going to leave your account active just see if I'm right that you're probably a spammer and will be along soon to add some links or an affiliate code to your signature or the post itself.

The problem went away. No idea why Sarahs20 would dig up a DirecTV thread if for nothing else other than to SPAM.

And as for DISH Networks: I've been to that whore of a service provider and like a bad whore no repeat business, bitch!

I don't keep up with the quality differences between the two. What is the status on the quality of the signals between the two?

IMO both are too compressed....Blu-ray blows them away.

I mainly use DirecTV to timeshift content I have to wait on becoming available on Blu-ray. I certainly do not consider it for the PQ, but the nerps are more visible on prime time content.
