A lot of companies used the Marquee chassis and called it their own.

List moved to: http://www.curtpalme.com/ElectrohomeMarquee.shtm

I'll update this list as info comes in...

Who else am I missing? I want to add this info the Marquee page.

Kal

The Vidikron Vision 2 was based on the 8500AC.

Madrigal MP8 and MP9.
BTW these weren't "based" on the 8500 and 9500, they ARE exactly the same machine except for either a fancy fiberglass case or some added side trim-panels with the Madrigal.

I believe the Vision 2 can also be an 8110?

THe Vision 1 is either an Ultra or a plain 9500, depending on the year made. Can't tell without popping up the menu.

Kal, I desperately tried to attach this TAW HD-800 manual as a rar file of 2.91 MB. The forum software rejects it though ("you tried to upload an empty file"). Maximum allowed size is allegedly 3 MB, but it looks like it is 3,000,000 bytes instead.

Here's the link to the non-compressed PDF:

Gtt Audio and Video Also had clones of the 8500 and 9500 I found only the reference to the "GTT HT Reference 9 " They Also Had GTT HT Reference 8.

http://www.gttgroup.com/HTReference9.htm

And PSI also had clones the reference 8 and the reference 9 I believe they were the same people with a new name for the company. I have a canibalized Reference 8 that before i got it had all the modded boards taken out . I got screwed! Evil or Very Mad

Accurate Imaging Technologies Accurate XL:
8110 chassis

Other models:

The Integrated 8 (not sure if that is a Marquee - a unique CRT-based front projector, featuring eight-inch tubes, a variety of image enhancements, and an internal HDTV upconverter with selectable 720p and 1080i settings for the sharpest video images available. The suggested retail price is $28,000.

The Ultimate 9-X (9501 with Ultimate X-Modification) - the company's flagship CRT-based projector, featuring nine-inch tubes and an extensive series of image enhancements. The suggested retail price is $75,000.

The Ultimate 8-X (8501 with Ultimate X-Modification) - the company's flagship CRT-based projector, featuring eight-inch tubes and an extensive series of image enhancements. The suggested retail price is $50,000.

The Accurate 9 (9501) - a powerful CRT-based front projector, featuring nine-inch tubes and a variety of image enhancing modifications. The suggested retail price is $50,000.

The Accurate 8 (8501) - a powerful CRT-based front projector, featuring eight-inch tubes and a variety of image enhancing modifications. The suggested retail price is $25,000.

For those with space constraints, Accurate Imaging offers the "Modular 9" and "Modular 8" (these should be split pack Marquees, i.e. 8520 and 9520 or similar), with separate the electronics from the CRTs, for a unique two-piece front projection system.

The company also offers an upgrade path for its projectors, called the "Ultimate X-Modification," said to raise the level of performance and long-term stability in any Accurate projector to the maximum possible.

All of the projectors can be outfitted with the exclusive and unique Digital Pathway that includes the Accurate Integral HD Scaler Card.

in 2005 Accurate Imaging Technologies was bought by HI-REZ Projections, Inc.
HiRez already sold the Chrystal View projector range, and continued to offer pretty much the same models (now called CV-1, CV-2 abd CV-3, as well as the split pack versions).
Hirez also acquired the Madrigal Imaging Devision of Madrigal in September 2002. They had already taken over Vidikron's CRT business at that point.

Thanks for all the info Kai! (And everyone else too).
I bumped up the attachment size from 3mb to 3.5mb so you can re-attach if you like Kai. RAR files are accepted.
(Attachment size is always a balancing act - I don't want to go too big as we really don't want 10-20mb attachments).

Kal,

I'm still getting the same error:
"Tried to upload empty file"

I tried the 3.05 MB PDF and the 2.91 MB RAR. Both give me the same error.

Yep. Thanks for trying. Can you email the RAR to me at webmaster@curtpalme.com? I might as well include the documents too in the table I'm making up.

EDIT: Never mind... you provided it with a link.

Ok, I've added a cross-reference table here with extra info and some documentation:

http://www.curtpalme.com/ElectrohomeMarquee.shtm

Some of the info's missing. If anyone can fill in any of the question marks let me know.
It's surprising how many machines are based on the Marquee chassis! I realized that most people don't even know this - I had someone email me if there was an HDMI input card available for the Vidikron Vision 2 a couple of days ago. They had heard about the Moome Marquee VIM-HD HDMI input card but didn't realize that they had a Marquee machine!

Kal, I found a Vidikron Vision Three brochure.

It's not on the site yet.

The Vision Two brochure is nowhere to be found unfortunately.

So, Hi-Rez bought out Accurate and Madrigal, but they still had to buy the chassis from VDC? What is in a name?Smile

Is the Accurate models the one Chris Stevens worked on?
