A little more than a year ago, a NOS set of 07mp's or 07msp's went for something INSANE like $800. I don't remember the exact dollar amount, but I distinctly remember thinking there were clearly some people that were completely off their respective rockers.
As crazy as it seems, I'll be surprised if they don't go for at least $200-300 - even with the drop in prices on the older ES machines.

SC | that sounds about right, especially from such a reputable seller. I doubt their is anyone here who hasn't bought something from AVforsale. I can belive that Barco 808S with only 150 hours, that looks like a sweet machine.

AVForSale is exactly where my weird low-hour New Jersey G70 came from. Man, they get their hands on some amazing equipment, don't they? They must have an incredible network built up. And the volume - wow!!!
Didn't see the 808 because I haven't really even been looking anymore now that I have my G70. Sure looks nice and clean.

Wow, that's crazy. Do people look for them by the Sony part, though? I guess any Barco guys would/should have seen it just doing their usual 'Barco' search, though. That's pretty weird. Standard ebay fluke or a sign of a larger issue?
The 07MP's closed for $208.50. That's quite reasonable, I think. Looks like the price of those tubes has finally settled down to roughly the difference between a machine with nice tubes and a machine with burnt tubes. Even just a year or two ago, the tubes would have brought WAY more money than even a good machine with nice tubes in it would have brought.

What I'm finding is the number of bidders that aren't familiar to me, still bidding on CRT stuff on eBay.
Who was the high bidder on the tubes? Who is deadcrt?

Ok, I am now the proud owner of these tubes, thanks to the shipper who did a good job of packaging these arrived none the worse for wear even though they had to travel across most of the US to get to me. They were packaged in their original boxes from Sony as well as double packed in cardboard. The 2'x3'x4' box was a bit of a surprise when it arrived. All 3 tubes are as described and appear brand spanking new - there is even an original receipt for when they were purchased new in 1999 @ $575.37 ea for a grand total of $1748.58 purchased from Tritronics Incorporated.
My plan with the tubes eventually is to replace the ones in my 1271 that currently have some text burn (outside the 16x9 image that I usually watch) but I don't want to do that right away since my current mechanical setup needs a little work and I am not quite ready for that. Are there any suggestions regarding storage of these tubes or anything that I should check before I put these babies away for a while? Also, for when I get to the point of swapping the tubes are there any hints or tips regarding moving the magnetics across from my existing tubes? Would it be a better idea to pick up a spare set of magnetics (am I using the right term here?) to put on these tubes so I can leave the old ones as is? I have skimmed the tube replacement page in the advanced procedures and plan on reading that in depth before doing this, any suggestions specific to this projector?
Thanks for all the assistance and the immense amount of information available on this forum!
Benjamin

Put the tubes back in the box, if they survived a cross-country trip without breaking I doubt they will break just sitting around. Of couse if you don't have space to keep the box that's another thing (in that case just install the tubes now)
Also check for the glycol bubble to see if the tubes need to be bled, you don't want your tubes to explode
