What's the best way to get G2 Bias over to pin 6 on a P16 tube in a marquee? I know people used to solder it on but is there a perfered method now?
Someone mentioned drilling out socket #6 and simply plugging in the stock white jumper wire directly to the tube. I've never tried this but it sounds like a better way to go as I think #6 is not used on the 180DMB's and this method would allow swapping a stock tube back in down the road.

That is exactly how I do it and how some VDC modded boards are done. Works just fine. Remove the soldered in pin with a soldering iron, drill out the pad. Done.
