Caution to the wind, I suppose. Maybe I should buy an extra LG drive and store it in a vault somewhere, just in case.
My slowly filling high-def rack was looking about 2:1 BD to HD, but this will put it around even. With all those Universal titles @ 50% and additional coupon codes floating around, I couldn't resist.
Most questionable choice of the bunch: Black Snake Moan for $20. But come on, Christina Ricci as a white-trashy sex addict in psuedo-bondage... how could I say no?

Where were the deals/coupons and what was your final cost per title? I'm interested.
Black Snake Moan was actually a pretty good flick!

From Barnes & Noble:
Coupon code Y4R4K7D gives another something or other off. Free shipping with order over $25.
Jet Li's Fearless $14.99
Dazed and Confused $19.93
Darkman $14.99
Hollywoodland $19.99
Total was $74.10 after tax.
From Amazon:
"Seabiscuit [HD DVD]" $14.95
"Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind [HD DVD]" $14.95
"Hot Fuzz (Combo HD DVD and Standard DVD) [HD DVD]" $19.95
"Black Snake Moan" [HD DVD] $19.99
"The Big Lebowski" [HD DVD] $14.95
"Shaun of the Dead [HD DVD]" $14.95
"Elizabeth [HD DVD]" $14.95
"King Kong [HD DVD]" $19.95
A buck here and there for Prime discounts, and free 2-day shipping, but mostly just what it is. These titles are all available discounted from B&N too, but I had ordered the Amazon stuff first, and didn't want to mess around canceling it all.
I didn't mean to imply that these were some super-crazy cheap deal, just okay. Same kind of discounts that we've been seeing pretty regularly, on various titles at various times. It was enough to make me rationalize ordering a bunch, though, which I guess is what they were after.

I was just thinking the same thing while looking at Amazon. Quite a few classics in there that I wouldn't mind having in HDM.
It would be going against my renting only policy but it would make my movie rack look better.
