After some doing I finally received the RETRO 808LC from Curt"Thanks" Thumbs Up and by its self
the picture is really good. No noise issue at all and the focus with the 215's is excellent compared with the old retro
that seem to have issues from day one. Of all the Barco's I have owned it has the best picture so after watching it for a few day's I thought it was time to play Smile

I just installed the MP mods and the picture is better why I don't know and don't care. I then unistalled the mods and didn't like the picture. I will try to describe my initial impressions

The focus or beamspot is tighter
Picture has more of a 3D pop to it. Colors have a richer look to them.
Blacks are silky velvet black
More shadow detail in dark scenes

I have only been able to watch a few movies and the superbowl but on a 11ft screen and if
I could sum up 1 word for the Barco 1 mods by MP is

wow Thumbs Up

Damn! I knew I should have sprung for those MP modded parts right away when they appeared instead of hemming and hawing like I always do. Now you have them and I hate you Mr. Green . Well, if you ever want to get rid of them, I am first in line.

The funny thing is I don't know how a screen shot would ever do the picture justice. Very Happy I will PM you if I decide
to sell! I was going to the light side but after seeing the dark side by side I would only switch for an RS2 but I can't afford that coin and a lateral move would be pointless.

Ile that is correct!
I don't know how posting pictures would help. They either work or they
don't. These mods work. In the end I am the one who needs to
justify the money spent and for me worth every penny Thumbs Up

Moose at least your not sleeping on the couch Shocked
Just a quick update the mods
are better than I thought. I took them out completely and made me feel as if I was watching
a flat board of a picture. Colors, depth, shadow detail look as if I hit the picture with a frying
pan Sad Reinstalled the mods and life is good again
