Sorry if this has been answered before... I couldn't find it.
But here is a really simple question... if I have a basic Barco 701 CRT projector that can support maximum 720p, does that mean I can simply plug in a Set Top Box which has a 720p output or do I still need to buy a line doubler to force the projector to support 720p?
Thanks,
Kevin

no to the line doubler.
these things are for doubling SD signals ...t.v.,vhs,etc to improve 480i images. If you were to try to feel a progressive 480P dvd signal through the doubler to your projector it would not accept it or you would end up with a bizarre double image.
If your STB has an output your barco accepts then hook it up,otherwise you will need to transcode it.
