I have on housing that was cast funny the section of the housing that you glue the tube to is deformed from the factory like the mold was bad when they poured it. it if i install the tube square in the housing it will be rotated about 10 degrees. should i attempt to make the tube as square as possible to the projector or square to the housing. I am thinking square to the projector. The only problem i can see with this is that it will have a smaller surface to seal against the tube in 2 corners. Do you think this will be a problem if i load it up good with silicone?

Thanks all
John

the first pic is the red you can see how the casting is fubared. only the heatsink part and not the whole thing as the pins and such line up just fine. and are properly square. I squared the tube to the projector flange and siliconed it in not even noticing the fact that it was disfigured.

Hello

Is there a pivot pin installed both sides? The one visible does not look like it is crimped in properly.

yes the pins are installed I just have not pinned them in yet I had them out to expand the chamber so i clean all of the junk off of the bellows. I just have not fully reinstalled them.

Isn't that wierd how off the casting is
