all these years I was convinced I really didn't like the beatles music. Recently, I picked a couple of original albums, Abbey road + Sgt Peppers, in MINT condition. I was really stoked simply for nostalgia reasons. It was until I played them that I realzed that the later Beatles albums are great musical achievements and what's bad is the SOUND coming off the recordings. thanks to Phil Spectre I can't stand the beatles.
Well it was great interest that i listened to a story on the radio about a new band that decided the try and faithfully reproduce the later Beatles music. Unlike other tribute bands which did the early Yeah-Yeah stuff, these guys wanted to tackle the complex later stuff which the Bealtes never pefromed live. According to Mcartney, the technology at the time didn't allow the complex, layered scores to be played live. fast forward to 2006 with a hand-ful of very talented guys and the music sounds really good live.
check out this video, these guys have live strings, live trumpets, pretty much the whole works. This is something I would love to see if they ever came West.

That's very cool! Very good for a live version.
There's a reason the Beatles are always number one on all of the greatest "whatever" lists. There's no one else that comes close.
Even though I'm a huge fan, I don't care to listen to them much anymore. I've heard all of their songs thousands of times.

Phil, have you heard the Cirque du Soleil remix for "LOVE" ? For anyone who knows the Beatles songs inside-out, it's an amazing experience. You will definitely experience musical whiplash many times during that CD.

you might get a kick out of this, I recently re-arranged my equipment rack and the idea was to get the 2 new power amps as low as possible and far away as possible from the sensitive 2.5mv signal coming from my phono cartridge. Well when I was done the CD player which had been collecting dust on the bottom actually moved up to the third row
What i found was that while I still don't like the sound of it, it's really usefull for warming up my equipment before spinning some real music.

THIS IS A MUST HAVE!!!! I would say that this album could be for anyone fan or not to appreciate the ingenious works that 4 young chaps pulled off in 10 years. I CANNOT WAIT ANY longer for it to come out on vinyl so i can fully appreciate it.

finally, superior analog production of Beatles masters. Better than "let it be, naked". Certainly superior to Japanese pressings that are cut from digital sources. I've yet to figure out the purpose of the Japanese pressings. "love" is worthy of all Beatles/analog fans.

I thought I'd put on my headphones to check out this album briefly but an hour later I'm sitting on the floor mesmerized by the unbelievable beauty that has unfolded before my very ears. George Martin is genious, as were those 4 talented mop-tops from Liverpool. We are all so very fortunate that they all spent time together creating these masterpieces for us. Rejoice: The Beatles live on!

If you are a Beatles fan, this re-engineered compilation is for you. The quality of the recording itself is worth the money. George Martin, once again, shows us just how instrumental he was with the Beatles sound.
A Must have for any Beatles lover. An absolute gem!!!!!

What a joy to hear these classic Beatles tunes remastered and mixed into this new release. The continuity of the entire release is magical and to hear it with the warmth of vinyl is mesmerizing.

I suspect this was mixed and mastered in high rez digital but regardless, the sound thrashes the original pop mixes; and the artistic license taken is refreshing. Now... to remix the entire Beatles catalogue all analogue to vinyl with this level of integrity, and forget the vocals in one channel and the instruments in the other mistake.

I was skeptical as ....well, anyone who loves the Beatles music. But, to keep this short, what an incredible job ! Hats off to both George and Giles Martin. A fast paced walk down memory lane that gave me goosebumps at times. The entire package is stunning, but the vinyl is some of the most incredible i've ever heard. You will be reminded why you hate 16 bit CD's, mpg's..etc after hearing this. Don't hesitate...get this VINYL album!

Being a Cirque employee, I was at the opening night party with the remaining Beatles, the widows and kids as well as everyone else involved in this project - HELL YA! The show is great and the mix is awesome, even though I am a purist with all the original vinyl. I am disappointed with the title. It was either that or "The Boys", either way you're stuck with a great album/show and a bad title. Enough ranting, just buy it already.....and go see the show.

My life changed the evening of February 9, 1964. Not quite twelve years old, I sat transfixed before our old, Magnavox black and white television as Ed Sullivan introduced the Beatles. It may as well have been a private concert just for me. As they strummed their guitars and sang, I was swept away to some other place that is still hard for me to explain to this day some forty years later. I stood on tiptoes awaiting the release of each new single or LP. As a Beatle purist, the notion of molesting their songs was repugnant. I was skeptical when LOVE hit the scene. I'm pleased to say that I visited my happy place listening to LOVE. The choral opening, Because, grabbed me from the outset. It's a fresh experience with familiar old friends. A worthy journey. 40+ years later, I LOVE the Beatles.

I received my order in record time, well packaged and in immaculate condition. The added documents - full color booklet and other artwork increased my pleasure exponentially. I already owned the CD, but once again found that - Vinyl Rules!
