Guys
Are there any multi region (for SD playback) blu-ray players out there? Or is anyone modifying the players to make them multi-region. I ideally want one player to handle ALL of my media...

try the toshiab HD DVD players. They are region free. lol

If you use a HTPC, you can use the LG multi BR/HD-DVD drive (or any internal BD drive for that matter) and AnyDVD-HD.
It strips BR region coding.
I love SlySoft, don't know what I would do without it.

unfortunately, and this is the only negative so far, but that software isn't available on osx. yup, we be of the apple variety round here...

but at least its running, and totally crash free...
i've never regretted making the switch a coupla years ago.
