My name is alex arnol. I'm the owner of a BG 1209 and I'm located in france.
My BG is working well with a 1024x768 signal on a 3 meters base screen
I'm desesperatly trying to input a Hidef signal (1080p) on it.
my source is a htpc with an ATI HD2600 pro graphic card
I've already understand that I must use the port 3 and i've got a cable with VGA ouput (pc) and RS232 input (BG)
When I connect everything:
- my graphic card allows me only 1080i with 29 and 30hz in the set up (I define the crt as a second screen)
- with these modes, no way to get a good picture : the picture on the screen doesn't stop moving (scroll). this picture is also very small and when I tried to increase it I 've to go to the CRT's limits.
Do I need something special?
Can you help?
best regards,
Alex

Sounds like you really have a PC issue Alex.
The first step is to get everything working with a CRT monitor - a 17" one or bigger so it will have the scanrate to work with 1080p ok.
You need to disable the EDID for the monitor - there is a check box/manual selection thing in the Catalyst Control Panel to allow manual overide to 1920x1080 (or whatever you want).
Then I use Powerstrip, but that's because I use an interlaced res.
Once it's working on a PC monitor, then try the 1209.

Welcome to the Forum,
I've had problems like that before. First you need to download powerstrip, this will allow you to tweak the output of the video card. It helps if you know what changing the porches will do to the picture but you can start out by just setting the resolution and refresh rate and then use the size, location arrows in powerstrip to setup the image.
Good Luck,
Erik

Try on port 5 too
Do you have 75Mhz neckboards or 120Mhz?

Sounds like sync polarity issue. Chance syncs to negative using Powerstrip. 1024x768 is usually only resolution that works also with positive syncs in older Barcos. Port3 should force to negative sync (if jumper is set so), but it's not working properly with all sources and resolutions...
Test also with port5, it could be tab sharper with 1080p.
oliverg, all BG120* series projectors have 120 MHz neck cards.
