Has anyone done a good comparison of 1080i Vs 1080p from a HD DVD or BD player? Even better any screen shots? Is there a vast difference?

Is it worth upgrading to a 1080p HDM Player? I have a HD-A2 & HD-A1 and wondered if it is worthwhile getting a HD-A30 for the 1080p?

Noted I have the original moome card for my PJ so I don;t know if it will accept 1080p, if not HDFury is probably the way to go

But is there a vast difference? My preference would be 1080i@72hz but that would me an external scaler, and that is just to expensive.

Thoughts anyone?

On my 1292 i preferred a good 1080i setup over a bad 1080p setup. So if you see scanlines on 1080i AND your raster settings are maxed out, good fosfor usage and great tubecondition's the 1080p setup will give an improvement
