Hi there,
I have my eye on a Sony Projector 1251 and I already have a Sony 1001qm. If I bought the 1251, will my tubes fit?
The 1001 uses 07ms whilst the 1251 uses 07mp.

The 07MP isn't even a 7" tube.

Ok... I now have my eye on a BarcoVision 708 that has 7" tubes. I hear it MIGHT be able to run 07MS tubes.... Can anyone definitively say "Yes" or 'No" to this question?

I'm almost certain that the BarcoVision uses Toshiba T180 or Panasonic P16LNG tubes. No the 07MS won't fit, but there are other 70X series that have 07MS tubes (the BarcoVision 701 for example). But even then you would need a HV lead swap, as Sony and Barco use different leads (even if they use 07MP/07MSP tubes).

No, only the BArco 700 and 701 take the Sony tubes. The 701s and 708 use Toshiba tubes, and if it's a late model 708, it uses P16 tubes (not the NEC ones) at $600 each from VDC.
