This is pretty funny. From a videogon post:
| Quote: | I am selling a Sony 1271 (VPH-1271Q) CRT video projector. It is in excellent operational condition and the case shows signs of wear. This set will accept line doublers, triplers and 1080i/720p HDTV along with standard video signals. It projects 600 lumens of light from 7" Sony CRT tubes.
The tubes on this unit are in great shape with about 2800 hours on them, so there are thousands of hours left. The projector supports floor or ceiling mounts and is 16:9 or 4:3 compatible. I have also incorporated the “quiet fan” upgrade, so the projector is quiet enough to run in a living room. It is one of the smaller CRT units and well suited for a small apartment or home setting.
The Sony 12xx projectors came out first in 1990, and were Sony’s answer to the Barco 800 series. The 1271 has 21 point of digital convergence, which make it a bit more desirable than the earlier models. The projector also has easy to use on screen menus that make it extremely easy to setup and get calibrated for the best picture quality.
The Sony 125x/127x series are complete workhorses, failures on these are relatively rare.
I am asking $395 for it and can arrange shipping at buyer’s expense. It is located near San Francisco and a local pickup would be easy to accommodate. |
Smooth, isn't he?
