Hi,

As the title says I'm looking at a Sound Dynamics THS2000 subwoofer.

I have no experience with subs and haven't used any equiptment made by this company.

A quick google search yielded this site http://www.sound-dynamics.com/home/

It looks like Sound Dynamics is owned by Energy. Does anyone have any experience with this company good or bad.

Sound Dynamics has been around for years, they used to make decent 'box' speakers, but I guess like a lot of smaller Canadian companies, has been bought out by Energy.

The last Energy stuff that I saw was crap, cheap drivers, etc, but then again, who hasn't cheaped out on stuff? Plastic stamped frames, small (but high power) magnets, etc.

FRom what I've seen GENERALLY from powered subs, one 10" cabinet will sound very similar to another. I don't think this Sound Dynamics one will be significantly better or worse than another similarly speced or priced brand.

Thanks for the info Curt, This looks like an older model as from the research I've done it seems this model is three generations old.

I'm looking at this one specifically becuase I've found one cheap <$50 and have to shop on a pretty tight budget.
