All, I just tried connecting a Toshiba HD-A2 to the GE Imager that I have been using for the past three years. I had to change the format from 16:9 to 4:3 Letterbox (have a 4:3 raster setup) to get the aspect correct, and I left the A2's output that it had been set to (1080i) when it was connected to an LCD flat-panel. I'm getting a 5% overscan on the left and the CRT complaining about Incompatible Input.
Previous to this I had the following setup for which the CRT calibrator had arranged for me ...
i) Hughes DirecTiVo Composite to DVDO iScanPro (640x480i Input Signal)
ii) Panasonic RP-56 Component to DVDO iScanPro (4:3 & 16:9 480P Input Signals)
iii) Samsung SIR-TS160 DirecTV HD STB VGA (RGBhv) (16:9 720P and 1080i Input Signal)
i & ii use the DVDO 480P transcoded to RGBhv and along with iii are switched via a Kramer VP-211. All of this has worked fine for almost three years. I simply disconnected the SIR-TS160's VGA source and connected the HDfury that was fed from the Toshiba HD-A2.
Any ideas on the Incompatible Input anomaly? I presume the HDTV resolutions setup for the Samsung SIR-TS160 must differ in some way from the HD DVD player. Read a brief portion of the HDfury FAQ and hence have ruled it out. I really have completely forgotten how to configure input signals for the CRT, and not sure how to handle the overscan.
Maybe it is time to hand the XG and have Terry calibrate it?

Just about all source signals are slightly different.
Just create a new memory and copy data from the old one. You shouldn't need a calibrator, it takes 30 seconds.

When it comes to CRT projectors I know how to turn it On, Off, hit the Input button (Home Theater Master MX-600) and select the input if the projector didn't already for me. Now, I do have an Nec setup remote (and the GE version), but I have no idea. Guidance is needed. And no, this is not like riding a bicycle.
