Hi Guys,

I was swapping the clear glyol in my Marquee out with some colored stuff that came out of my Barco 801s. I had the red tube done before it dawned on me what I would need to cover the vent screw and seal the glycol in the tubes. right now the tube is sitting face down so in the unlikely event that it leaks all the glycol will leak onto the floor and won't get all over the tube, projector.

If anyone knows what this stuff is I'd sure like to know.

Thanks,

Erik

PS- Pulling the tubes out of the Quee' while ceiling mounted sure is an adventure, I'm almost thinking of taking it down to reinstall the tubes Wink

The vent screws have an integral black silicone rubber gasket molded to them. So long as that gasket is not damaged, you do not
need to seal over the vent screws. A good grade of RTV silicone would suffice, in any event. Just be sure to give it plenty of curing
time and make sure that it's applied to a dead clean, totally dry surface with no residual trace of glycol on it.

Taking tubes off a ceiling mounted 9500LC isn't all that bad a job. But if you try it on an 8000 or 8500, you'll have to drop all
three tubes at once, as a unit, and I would REALLY not recommend trying that under any circumstances!
