I'm considering building one for the setup I have in the garage. (which is no longer a garage but a work-shop) Is there a formula for choosing the radius of the screen. Also, when considering radius, where do you place the point of origin of the radius. I'm working on a way to build a accurate mold to form one out of fiberglass 8)

Chip,

Here's a spreadsheet I developed quite some time back to calculate a mathematically accurate torus. It outputs the top/bottom/side torus profile dimensions. It'll also calculate the overall torus radius (F).
I put the torus focal point at the viewer.

Hope it helps.

How would you 'hollow out' your screen material? Or would you just bend plywood to match those curves?

Is this screen good for more than one viewer? When I plugged my numbers in it seems like a very small viewing cone. Maximum Torus Depth was 41.41" wild.
