For some reason, I can not access the controls to adjust color, sharpness or tint on my XG75? If I hit picture on the remote it will let me adjust brightness and contrast but its says "can not access" if I try to adjust color, sharpness or tint.

If I try to use the pc program and go to the picture tab, again the brightness/contrast are adjustable but color etc are greyed out?? Will having the pc program running and in expert mode cause this?

I just recently got the pj up and running again after it suddenly shut down in back in February. The memory apparently got corrupted/lost back in February and the cause SEEMS to have been a poorly seated system board as the pj is running fine since I reseated the board. Could this be an after affect of the memory corruption? Anything I can do/check to see why it wont let me access these controls? While watchable, the picture is a bit on the red side making people look a bit pink.

Thanks for all the help on this board.

Those controls ONLY work with a composite video signal, NOT RGB.

What are you feeding it?

Tinman,

That explains it. I'm sendng RGB from my laptop. So I guess I have to do color etc from the pc?

Thanks for the embarassment Smile

You do have kelvin to work with in RGB. These are the W and B cursors for each color. Might check those settings anyways. Doug

Right now Kelvin is at 50% and all the W/B controls are at 50%.

With the settings as they are, I have to set the brightness at ~75% to get decent black levels using Avia.

I looked through the various color controls on my pc. In addition to the ones in my windows display properties (right-click desktop/properties/settings/advanced/color) there are also color controls in Powerstrip, Zoomplayer and ffdshow. Problem is, most only seem to provide controls for brightness/contrast/gamma. I think Zoomplayer and ffdshow are the only ones that give saturation/hue controls. Would it be better to set the player controls or the filter controls?
