In a rare gesture to satisfy my infatuatory response to one Amy Winehouse, I bought a music CD. Mind you, I have bought maybe 10 CDs in as many years. I miss my vinyl and the music industry has placed a bad climate on buying more from artists.
Anyway, I was damn surprised when I learned that this little hottie with a great voice was English. My first thought was that she was pulling a Catherine Zeta Jones in cultural origins. If none of you have listened to any of her music (Amy's, not Catherine's) I'd suggest that you go over to Google video and have a look.
BTW, even in the rarest of activities I managed to buy the CD for $2.76 new. I used a $10 rewards coupon and 10% off coupon at Best Buy. I didn't feel too badly about this three-dollar purchase, and even the wife liked the CD.
