Is there an HDCP stripper out there that is HDMI (or DVI) in as well as HDMI (or DVI) out?

How about one that is HDMI (or DVI) in as well as twi HDMI (or DVI) out that can be used at the same time?

Both must support 1080P

Thanks,

Terry

Moome's making one. He calls his a "DVI/DVI repeater" No idea when it'll be ready though. When it is, it'll be available for order through curtpalme.com.

I thought his external box (EXT-HD) has DVI out?

This only has VGA or RGBHV out. The DVI option doesn't pass the 1080P signal.

Are you sure about that? What does the DVI option do then?

The EXT-HD does have DVI out. It passes the video portion of the HDMI signal out through DVI, minus HDCP. So yes, sorry Terry: I forgot that you could use the EXT-HD for this purpose. It's also a HDMI (video portion) -> DVI converter that (ahem) removes HDCP.

HaydnG90: Where exactly did you read that it doesn't pass 1080p/60? My understanding is that the DVI output does up to 1080p/60 just like the analog outputs.

That's right Doug, it's just pass through without the HDCP

Yup. Correct. That part's mentioned in the FAQ. Some of the other things are not due to (ahem) other reasons.

How about this product??
http://www.digitalconnection.com/pro...video/1392.asp
It is 1080P, one in 2 out HDMI, HDCP compliant but does that mean it will allow a non HDCP device on the output and open the output.
My thoughts are HDMI HDCP source -> HDMI in VP50 HDMI out-> HDMI in 1392 HDMI out-> ->two DVI in's DVX8022 two DVI outs-> HDMI in's projectors with Moome cards.
That way digital domain all the way to the PJ, no D/A till the Moome card, and dual in's on the DVX8022 for added setup flexibility.
The DVX8022 is not HDCP compliant.
Think this will work??

Are we all on the same page that the DVX-8022 only requires 1 input to blend.

Mark,

I understand that the DVX8022 only requires 1 input to blend.
My mistake is for some reason I thought the DVX8022 had two DVI inputs and I wanted to take advantage of that for other reasons. My mistake as I had the unit packed away. I must have confused the DVI in for the HD SDI in which it has two.

Honestly I say screw all of this digital domain to the PJ. HDCP sucks!!!!!
RGBHV is great color space and provides so much more flexibility in this setup.

Still no reason to wait for the Moome external box as there are other HDMI -> HDMI or DVI -> DVI strippers out there.

This hypothetical box should also break out audio. IMHO.
