Its for a similar sort of thing, but it is an external box.
I think I am going to head to radio shack and buy the ends and just make one myself.
I made one once, but used the end of a monitor cable, it worked ok, but the monitor cable was hard to work with because of the thin guages of the wires.

I made one of them and despite having some experience with it and professional gear the results were less than stellar.

I've got a bunch of RGBHV cables of random nature and an 808s; a bunch of the cables I've got are RGBHV to DB9, I'm gonna check if they happen to be the right pinout for port3. I'll check a couple today, if you'd be interested I could send you one for a few bucks. Send me a PM if you want me to check. They're super high quality cables; got them from a place that takes donations of old computer kit and resells it cheap to raise money for the local science center place. There's two big universities nearby so there's a lot of workstation stuff, and I'm hoping that port3 pinout was kind of a standard. Unfortunately not much HD15 to RGBHV!

I did snag some really nice 2m RGB cables that are as big around as a man's arm. I kind of want to dissect one just to see what the hell is in there. Razz

Thanks for everyones help, in the end I just decided to spend $6 and an hour of my time soldering up one from radio shack parts.
Works great now.
