|
|
Hey guys,
Joust (aka Barry) is now a moderator in this CRT Projectors forum. Before anyone starts to wonder what's going on or if threads or posts are actually going to start to be 'moderated', the answer is: Nothing is changing. Barry's only going to use his powers to fix things like subject line headings to be more useful. He *will not* be deleting posts or anything drastic. In other words, less work for me!
Thanks Barry!
Kal

Thanks Kal.
I virtually live here, so I figure I might as well help out and fix some of my pet peeves
You guys are free to flame each other all you want. I won't interfere.
All I ask is that you make subject lines relative and pertinent and clearly state the subject. Curt is probably the biggest offender here.
If a thread changes subject midstream I may split it off with a pertinent subject line as well.
And I will also enforce a rule that anything that should not be viewed in a controlled environment (i.e. at the workplace) have a subject line with ***NOT WORKPLACE FRIENDLY*** in it. (or something to that effect)
Thanks

Congratulations??
When is the sig gonna change to something with words like good. bad, gun, etc. ? SHITTIN YA!
I think everyone with stacks and blends should be required to post as ***NOT WORKPLACE FRIENDLY***....because every time I see a setup like that I swear...loudly.
Have fun.
Greg

Perfect! This is exactly the sort of stuff that neither Curt nor I have time for!

No Pete, shirtless tattooed men are NOT allowed under any circumstance.
Gino's tattoos MIGHT be the exception, but if he poses shirtless, I still won't look.

You poor sucker....
Having been a moderator on more than one forum before, you have my pity. Or contempt. Or both at once.
If the topic contains adult content, I suggest that the poster simply place NSFW (Not Safe For Work) in the title. That works
well in some other forums I've participated in.

i certainly didn't notice the asterix at the end of the subject. I agree that NSFW (not safe for wife) be used.

unless there is HUGE objection I'll use ***WORKPLACE UNFRIENDLY*** and if it cuts back your subject line, so be it.
we don't want to rely on cryptic acronyms.
Newbies won't get them.
