I'm hoping that someone might be able to help here. There has been some great hardware advice in the past, now hoping for some software help.

I was running Cyberlink 6.6 BD edition with my blu ray drive and all was great. I have since added a Toshiba HD DVD drive to my HTPC. Everything is working fine with Standard DVD's.

The problem now is that I am getting an error on my blu ray movies and only audio and no video on my HD DVD movies and I cannot access my backup movies on my network. All of which worked fine with version 6.6.

Does anyone have any thought on what the problem might be?

Thanks in Advance

What video card do you have?

7.3 only works with cards on an "approved list", like 8xxx series Nvidias and 2xxx series ATi cards.

I had a 6800GT which would work with 6.6 (with tearing), but only gave a black screen with 7.3.

Yes you are correct.......why they would do that really bothers me!

So I can downgrade back to 6.6 to play Blu Ray, but what can I use to play HD DVD?

I have a radeon ati x1600 video card.
Cpu is is an amd x2 4600

I've had that same problem (sound, no picture) with my Nvidia 7300 card. I found if I changed the color depth from 32 bit to 16 bit, the image would display. If I then changed it back to 32 bit, the image still displayed. Makes no sense, but it works for me.

One thing I just noticed this morning is that my version of 7.3 shows all the icons on the main screen but in the scroll window it says "Power DVD Deluxe".

I have paid for the Ultra Version, does this scroll window show on anyone else's version?
