Hi guys,
I have been struggling with finding the EXACT tube centre (without removing the tubes) for doing a ground up setup - and I have just had a brain flash!
I think I may have devised a simple and cheap tool that anyone can make in less than 60 seconds to do it - BUT...

I need a photo of a 180DMB (Air coupled) tube face and I am too lazy to get my unit out of its roadcase and take off the lenses.

If anyone has their lenses off - can you take a photo (nice and square to the tube) and measure for me the distance at the widest parts of the tube face from top to bottom and side to side. ( millimetres )

If anyone could help - it would be appreciated.

I will of course post the details for the "tool" for free on this website when done.

Cheers
Ben

Hello

A 180DMB here looks to have max usable phosphor width of 130mm w by 102mm h, as seen here:

If you need better pix send me your e.mail; my camera needs charging.

Hey Mark,
You are correct,
How come I don't see any posts about it. It seems so simple and so easy, yet Bill Blues setup guides, the stuff on Tims website, Curts stuff etc has no mention of this as a tool...
Guess I am not so original afterall - Oh well consider my bubble burst.
In any case it is a simple Overhead transparency sheet printed on my laser with a 3mm grid, diagonals and a hole burnt in the middle with a soldering iron, just big enough for a fine tip texta to put a "dot"
I have blu-tacked it onto the screen and adjusting the focus yoke to center the raster has never been easier.
Maybe curt should make a template for something like this available on the site?

Tim - thanks for the pic - very helpful - need to email you about something else soon too. Brad was right about the toast....

Thanks All
Ben
