So far, I've only ordered 300 (HD DVD) as a title, but also picked up DVE-HD for the Geek in me. Will be picking up Casino Royal (BD) this weekend when I pick up the PS3 (Toshiba HD-A2 has shipped).

This just in...
King of New York, the scorscese classic releases on Oct 23rd on blu ray.
Also sony has canceled the release of Starship Troopers.
This is great news because i hate that Blankin movie!
Also, Pixar is releasing a compilation of their short films. Jack Jack attack, knick knack, Mikes new car... etc!

I would want to say Cruel Intentions it has some eye candy but it seemed more like a chick flick also the movie species was action with eye candy.

Eye Candy / reference quality picture (at least on my setup) DVDs (don't have HD source yet)
Fifth Element - Superbit or Ultimate Edition - The must-have disc for any HT enthusiast.
The New World - Shot entirely with available light. Image has a depth that gets lost with artificial light sources.
Anything by Pixar - Establishes new benchmark with each release. Can't wait for Ratatouille!
Monster House - Pleasant surprise from makers of Polar Expresszzzz... Aimed squarely at 12-14 year olds, not for children. Clever.
Happy Feet - Overly cutsey and heavy handed, but has periods of intense visual gratification (great skies).
Star Wars II & III - Benchmark picture. story gets trampled by overdone CGI. Some of the dumbest dialogue I've ever heard.
(more later)

Umm, I'd DISAGREE MOST STRONGLY about Starship Troopers. It's an absolute classic!!! The whole thing is tongue in cheek. One of the first batch of DVD's I ever bought (from Amazon, you couldn't get them here at the time).
And there's no way in hell I'm ever going to watch King of New York. Crime/Gangsta movies bore the bejesus out of me.
And it's by Abel Ferrara anyway, not Scorcese.
But I do like Jack Jack Attack

Watched DEAD OR ALIVE (DOA) on the weekend, It has some FANTASTIC eye candy and pretty good action, lots of chick fights, lots of booms to get the subwoofer cranking, story is a little lame though.

crap plot, crap acting,a few good fx,another hollywood ho-hum blockbuster, and to top it off you have to endure some of the worst acting by one of the worst actors-I pray every day that they find Travolta in his bathroom just like Elvis....but....
TA-TA's...halle's hooters...black lace and Berry...DAMN I love that movie

I was going to say the same thing. The nudity was oddly out of place too. Don't get me wrong: I didn't mind it, but it just seemed odd and out of character for the rest of the movie.

I thought the same about Monsters Ball as well............ but I bought that too

For eye candy, there's Gwendoline starring the infamous Tawny Kitaen. Not high-def but she's naked a lot. An IMDB decription reads Pointless nudity at its finest.
If you're an Alyssa Milano fan, there's Embrace of the Vampire. Stupid, but she does good naked. Plus the Outer Limits episode (the new Outer Limits, that is), Caught in the Act, has a naked Alyssa scene that should be put on repeat play forever.
Can't wait for all of these to come out in HD.

Stop suggesting low-def media.
