Hey Guys.....
I just ran this by Curt, but to my surprise he doesn't know this either.
A large quantity of Sony SD-208 tubes that also cross to 07MSU's.
Anyone know what they fit? They come out of short throw video cubes. Looks like an SD-187 without colored glycol. These have the multi-pole astig rings on the back to boot.
I can pull a set to play with. Hate to see them get scrapped if we can use them in 10XX or ECP's.

I have a few of these new.. reds and greens I think. I tried finding out what they were used in and always came up dry.. the only useful thing I recall hearing about them is that they use a heavier phosophor so they'll last longer, but are otherwise identical to SD-187.
the ones I have are attached to LC chambers I think, so a use in rear-pro videowall cubes makes sense. I guess if anybody is interested in them let me know..

I had 3 from a Sony RVP-401Q. Basically a 1270 electronics-wise, but a 41" rear-pro cube meant to be in/on a wall. The one I had came from the Nasdaq wall specifically. They should work nicely on a 10xx I would think, just removing the LC assemblies and converting the to AC is the fun part. They seemed slightly brighter than the 07MS and SD187's I have seen.

What condition are they in?
I have a VPH1000QM that uses SD-187 tubes that have 80,000 hours on them, swapping the glycol shouldn't be much of a problem.

Tubes are in good shape, the one I looked at had the mildest 4:3 wear on the blue.
When I go back, I'll pull a set and see what can be done with them.

Did you get anywhere with these.
My brother has just bought some of these with friends but has had no luck getting them working so far.
Any information appreciated. I was directed here by members of AVForums.
Thanks,
Alan
