I have a sub with the grill cloth starting to pull away. Rather than re-cloth the whole thing I first want to try and repair it.

What do I use and how do I go about it without getting glue all over the place? Links to video some good tutorials would be helpful.

Looks like it's torn right at the top middle. I would disconnect (or cut) along the top, stretch, and then reglue & clamp until it dries. Good as new.

If you don't have enough play, buy some replacement grill cloth. It'll cost you about $5 worth of fabric. Available at fabric stores by the yard or on Amazon: https://amzn.to/401u3w8

From the looks of it, it may not be torn, but I'll bet the glue has come off the fabrice.
I just use a hot glue gun, run a thin bead on the back of the grille, stretch the fabric and hold it into the bead of glue, and let it cool. Has worked every time for me.

Hot glue, interesting! Do you use any special technique to keep the bead thin so it isn't raised up too much, you know so the grill frame sits flush?

Put a super hot bead on, then flatten it with a popsicle stick or a power resistor lead. Very Happy
