I don't know the brand at all, but I don't trust much that Monoprice sells. Why not get a dual 15" passive sub off Marketplace, and add a pro power amp in bridged mono mode? If you shop a bit, you should be able to get something from JBL or EAW for the speakers, and something like a good Crown or QSC power amp for about $500-600 total.
<edit> to clarify my point, their specs on this on the main page are already BS. A 15 amp outlet puts out 1800 watts RMS, yet their amp in the speaker apparently puts out 2000W RMS. Unless they specify that it gets put on a 20 amp circuit (2400 watts total), then their wattage numbers are padded to sound more impressive.

Monoprice started selling/making cables but they branched out into higher end audio back in 2015, and some of their products are highly regarded probably because they *aren't* actually built by them. Many of their Class A/B amps for example are designed/built in the USA by ATI who's a very well regarded amp seller who also builds for Outlaw, Lexicon Mark Levinson, Theta and B&K, to name a few. Same innards, but different faceplates (for the most part).
I only know this because I'm currently in the market for a couple of their 7x200 amps myself.
So I wouldn't discount them just from the Monoprice name alone as they may not actually be made by them.
I don't know about their subs however... I would search around a bit and see if they are in fact monoprice designed/made and see what you find.

I'm still sore about their marketing techniques, selling Furys without power supplies to undercut, and then sending them here for tech support.
I hold grudges for a looong time.

So I bought the monolith. It took 3 of us and a real good cart to get it in the basement. It weighs 200 pounds and it feels like 300. I am very happy with it
other than the fact that it is a real bitch to move. Im impressed with it actually. It doesnt play like any other sub ive heard, its hard to describe. In a word,
impressive. I did put it on its own 20 amp breaker per curts advice. Trying to find the right spot for it will be a PITA. Where i would like to put it is dead center
under the center channel on its side. Pretty sure that wouldnt be a good location though. It definitely fills the room though.

Low freqs aren't directional, but placement against walls/etc makes a big difference. With the long wavelengths of low freqs, placing it against a wall will almost double the perceived loudness -- the waves bounce off the wall/floor and reinforce each other. Putting it in a corner can almost double it again. So putting it under the center might sacrifice some bass. But with your 200lb behemoth that might not be a problem !!

it would be 3 feet away from the wall but it would have to be on its side. The center of the room would be ideal as far as placement goes. I dont think
the sound will be an issue ( I hope not anyway). As long as it wouldnt make the center sound softer I think it would sound great. It would only be about
14 feet from the main listening position. I hope that isnt an issue. I guess I can try it. The only other spot that works well (because of its size) is the
very back of the room behind the MLP. I would prefer to keep that area open if possible. It would be about 11 feet behind MLP. I doubt 3 feet would matter
but I am guessing. It really sucks trying to move it around by myself. 2 people doesnt help much though.
I do have a question though, do you measure off the wall by the front of the speaker or the back. I have been measuring off the back.

The only way to know is to try it and measure. Often the "best" placement sound wise isn't the best place physically. Subs are not directional so how far it is from you isn't really relevant. As Gary mentioned putting it against a wall or a corner will increase the bass.
If you don't have the means to measure response in your pre-pro or receiver, one trick that people use is put the sub in the main listening position (MLP) a move around themselves to see where it sounds best.

What are you measuring with? Normally you'll follow the instructions that pre-pro/receiver comes with to measure with the included microphone placed at the MLP (or multiple locations). This is the way Anthem Arc, Dirac, Audyssey, Trinnov, etc do it. Anthem ARC is used in Anthem pre-amps and receivers, Dirac and Audyssey are licenced by a multitude of companies for use in their pre-amps and receivers that range in price all over the place, and Trinnov is only in their [very expensive] pre-pros. There may be others as well.

What I meant was actual physical distance in the speaker placement, I measure the distance from the wall to the back side of the speaker.
I have them all 3 feet from the wall.

You don't place a sub by measuring actual physical distances. There's no way to do that as you have no idea what the response will be like. You measure the response with a microphone as you adjust the sub position.
People will use free software like REW (room eq wizard): https://www.roomeqwizard.com/
More recent receivers and pre-pros have these sorts of tools built-in and come with a mic, and will even adjust the response for you to 'compensate' for speaker placement/room issues. Always best to get the best positioning / best response possible first so that the software doesn't have to adjust as much. This is what I do with the Anthem ARC software meant for my Anthem AVM70 pre-pro. It came with a mic and software. I played around with multiple sub positions with the software running to find the best spot I could use then the correction software fixes what it can.
