Looking for ways to take my standard definition and 720p/1080i live TV broadcasts and clean up the picture.
What are some cool, old Faroudja or other video processors that can do this?
Something I can find cheap on eBay because it's not 4K or UHD or anything new-cool?
I do need HDMI though.

Best is the Mosquito Algolyth.
go to the LaserDisc forum
https://forum.lddb.com/viewforum.php?f=50
in there there's a comment about the Mosquito being used on HD for noise deduction

What do you mean by clean up the picture? The Mosquito Algolyth main feature is for block noise and I thought it was for 480i/480p only. All the other processors mainly only upscale and de interlace and maybe have a sharpness control. The Faroudja vp5000 and maybe 3000 too 1080i and had limited features other than de interlacing.
Edit: I guess the Mosquito does do 1080i and 720p input/output but I still question if this is going to improve anything doing A>D and D>A conversion.

I did try and buy one of these recently but it was at a local auction and went for >$400. I wonder if there is a pro broadcast box/video processor that would be better that might be cheap now instead.

Hi guys, thanks for the responses.
Hey Kal, hope you're doing well.
Wow, Algolith Mosquito doesn't seem to be available for sale anywhere.
So, to clarify what I'm doing/wanting.
I'm setting up an older ATV4K for dedicated use as an IPTV player using Channels DVR.
I'm currently using Sling but hate the company and will likely switch to YouTubeTV.
And all these channels are going to be 1080P or less.
My primary viewing will be through VideoProcessor/madVR.
But I don't have the digital "horsepower" to do all the cool settings in madVR because VideoProcessor struggles with 60Hz live TV.
So, I was thinking old 1080P Faroudja or something might be super cheap since everyone wants 4K hardware these days.
I'd just toss it between the APTV4K running at 1080P max and then use VP/madVR for nothing other than upscaling to 4K.
I don't think I'd want to spend more than a hundred or two on this project that might not even work well.
