Sony crt projector is showing an error 29. I have since found out that’s related to the A board. I have ordered a new A board how tough are the boards to replace ?

Easy, the whole RGB board slides out the back after loosening the two Philips screws that hold it into place.

Hi Curt sorry upon further investigation the part I ordered was not the correct board. However I found and removed the board no obvious signs of damage or wear. I am not an electronics expert. I will continue to try and source a board. Are the boards themselves repairable the rest of the unit is in great shape
