Hi,

I have a VDC (Electrohome) Marquee 8500 for ~10 yrs and have never even plugged in until now (life changes) as I am trying to get it ready to sell. The tubes were replaced w/ good, low-hour tubes shortly before my purchase. It seems to work fine. However, I am concerned regarding the vertical position of the tubes/lenses as they are against the chassis/housing on the bottom. The few pics I have seen of these have varying vertical position placement of the lenses, but mine seem to be extreme, even creating a gap between the top of the lenses and the foam panel.

I guess my question is were the tubes/tube housings-carriers/lenses installed incorrectly, or is this fine and not to worry? Is there supposed to be a shim/spacer block they need to be on that was omitted possibly when the tubes were replaced? My initial looks indicate that everything looks installed correctly, but w/o a detailed parts breakdown it is difficult to access. I have multiple manuals and instructional printouts for this and am still scratching my head.

Regards,
-Allen
