This is Isaac Asimov's crowning work brought to ther screen. Grew up reading his books, although i don't think i read these. The show is quite good if you like Scifi. The 2nd season is even better than the 1st
it's pretty cerebral, and maybe hard to follow at times, but we produced with good acting. Wikipedia has a good summary that will help before watching

I'm like Kal -- I read the foundation books, but it was about 30+ years ago ... Doubt I'll invest time into this. There have been too many good series that I've missed. I just don't watch that much TV. I spend too much time on the computer already.
