Hi all,

I have this nice pj which I recently picked up, with less than 3000 hours and in good shape. I have only ran it a few times to check it was working and took a few weeks to set up. On the second time of watching a 2 hour film, I left the room and came back in and it had turned off! There was a red light on the standby I think.

It had been running a bit hot at the front grilles but I didn't check anything because I wrongly thought the fans were running because I could hear them. My mistake! Any way, I turned it back on and there's no display. I have since give it a rest and it's displaying a perfect image but one of the fans isn't running.

The left hand fan is running but the right one under the red tube is not, the heat was mostly coming from the right side too.

I am not accustomed to this machine, how do I approach finding the fault? Do I run the diagnostic tool in the service menu.
Can someone help please!! I just replaced a non working unit with this one and here we go again! Thanks in advance.

Are all the green lights on on the front of the projector, and are all the red ones off?

Hi Curt, thanks!

Ok, the red standby led comes on when I plug in at the mains on the wall.

1. When I switch on the pj via the remote control I get all green leds coming on and the amber led.

2. The amber led turns off after a few seconds.

3. I am just left with all green lights showing.

Thats it and the left hand fan is whizzing away and the right hand side is not spinning.

I hope this help, thanks again.
